Raw To JPG Converter

Hello all. I've just been wondering something. After using Camera Raw 4.2 in PSE 6, and then converting the picture from Raw to JPG, what compression does it use and can a person change it to less or more compression?

Brian: Not quite sure what you mean by converting to JPEG. When you open a Camera RAW edited image in the Editor it's not converting to JPEG - it's just opening it as an image. Conversion only occurs when you "save as" the file and then if you pick JPEG you'll get the usual quality/compression options. Note that to save as a JPEG you'll need to convert from 16 to 8 bit as JPEG doesn't support 16 bit. As I recall if you try to save a 16 bit image JPEG isn't an option.

Thanks so much Tony. I guess I didn't explain it quite clearly enough. I didn't know there was the option for compression after using RAW to save it as a JPG. Nice talking with you again.
