Hi Everyone
This is my 1st post and I feel pretty lame that after owning 5.0 I still don't know how to burn any of my pictures to a cd that I can send to my family. I have always emailed everything and I have no problems doing that. Could someone walk me through this please. I was told by my son that someone is buying me 6.0 for Christmas but I sure would like to know how to do this procedure on my 5.0

Thank You

I don't use the organizer, so my photos - even after editing, are in "My Pictures."

Your photos have to be jpg's - so if you've saved them as psd's, you have to change them to jpgs.

To transfer photos to a CD, I do it within Windows.

I go to my photo file - highlight the photos I want to copy to CD - and choose "copy to" - and then I find where my burner is - usually D or E - and I copy the photos to the burner drive.

Then I go to the burner drive - and select everthing there and choose "burn to CD."

Sometimes the burner is fussy about whether you have the CD in the burner prior to choosing the "burn" option.

If you are looking for a method for those photos to be played on someones DVD player, then you have a whole other issue.

You have to have some DVD burning software such as Adobe Photoshop Premiere or Nero. Elements will not make a DVD.

I wondering that 6.0 will resolve all this copy to CD buy one click. What do you folks think?

I have found it very easy to simply select the pictures you want when looking at them in your organizer. To 'select' them, click on the first pic and then use "Ctrl" and Click on any other shots you may want to copy to a CD. Then, go up to the "File" Menu and drag down to "Copy/Move to removeable disk....--(I am using Elements 6 now although from what I recall Elements 5 was the same)---now, I assume you have a disk drive that is capable of burning disks---if so--just follow the prompts and voila!!---if you want to be a bit more fancy and add some effects to your pic collection--go to "Create Slideshow" ---I won't walk you thru this (it can get tricky) so for now go to the help file--type in "Slideshow" and read away---when you are done you will have the ability to make up some real neat photo-pictorials without having to go the DVD route--hope this makes sense---RPS
