PSE3 for mac crashes on closing image

In PSE3.0 when I close an image, PSE crashes, running a G3 900 mHz iBook, I never had any problem with PSE2, went to 3.0 on the strength of that...HELP :( :(

What OS are you using on your iBook and has it crashed ever since you installed PSE3?

Did you repair permissions before and after the install? and did you disable any virus software before you installed?

Have you tried deleting the prefs file ... just in case you don't know how to do that:

Close down Elements then click on the start up icon and quickly hold down the Apple, Alt and Shift keys. Continue to hold down all three keys until you get a screen asking if you want to delete Settings ... just say Yes.

My OS is 10.2.8, tried permissions on a later install, tried your suggestion on resetting settings, crashed again, however will now try installing with virus ware shut off, let you know what happens. No, I never had any problems with version 2. Thanks Wendy.
