View Full Version : Organizer..file names?

I have many photo's showing up as duplicates/triplicates (etc.) in the organizer. These files may exist as simply duplicates in various folders, or as already edited files, or may be stored as photo's as part of my Family Tree Maker program.

How can I get organizer to show me the file names, so that I can delete duplicates without deleting the edited versions or ones associated with Family Tree maker? I need to be able to see file names and location.

There has got to be a way to have them show in organizer without having to look at the properties of each photo in question.

I need to add that I'm using PSE 6 on a Vista platform and there is no setting in preferences that I can find.

Any ideas???

Thanks in advance.

In PSE6 look under View and check the Details and Show File Name items. The Organizer images will then show the file names under them as long as you don't have them zoomed out too far.

I'm not using 6 but what I tend to do is leave the properties box open on the desktop and if I spot some duplicates I can click on each one and see it's size and location.
I mostly do this because I would tend to keep the biggest sized one as this is most likely the original.

Check details at the top right of the organizer screen.
I had the same things when loaded my pictures in FSE6.
Good Luck
