I can't get iTunes to find PSE 6.0 Albums. It seems like the underlying db has changed since PSE 5.0. Catalogs used to be stored in .psa files but now I (nor iTunes) can't find .psa files for PSE 6.0.
Apple seems to point the finger at Adobe. I can't find where Adobe addresses the issue at all.
Any suggestions... thoughts... solutions?

The underlying database is different for PSE6. Previous versions used MSAccess. PSE6 uses an open source database (can't remember the name). That would explain your problem and, sorry, I can't help with a solution.
Tony
PS. Just remembered that the new database is SQLite - same as Lightroom uses. It apparently is more robust, can be used with 3rd party add-ons and is MAC compatible.

I use a clumsy work-around: I export pictures from PSE 6 into Windows folders, and then sync iTunes with those folders. I have an Apple TV connected to a large HDTV, and it's great sharing family photos on it.
Details:
Apple iTunes doesn't support PSE 6, because, as Tony observed, Adobe changed Element's internal database from the Microsoft Access Jet engine to SQLite. By itself, that change wouldn't have caused a problem, because SQLite supports the same technical interface for accessing databases (ODBC). However, Adobe also completely changed the internal organization of the database (the schema of tables).
There is a thread on Apple's message boards about this issue; one person claims to have a solution, but it hasn't worked for anyone else and he's probably mistaken:

Many Apple documents still say "Photoshop Elements 3.0 or later", but recently at least one has been revised to say "Photoshop Elements 3.0 - 5.0", e.g.

Apple can point fingers, but they're ultimately responsible for iTunes.

Thanks guys. That's sort of what I expected. :(
I sort of have my pics hap-hazardly scattered through a bunch of different folders inside the My Pictures folder but there's no sense of orginization at all. That's why it was nice to have the sync w/Elements because I do have stuff organized there.
Here's hoping Apple will get on the ball and update iTunes at some point.

My regular picture folders aren't organized either. So I create a separate folder, AppleTV, with subfolders for each album I want to sync with. Then I export the PSE 6 albums to those subfolders and sync with the parent folder AppleTV.
