Hi Sherry and welcome! Hope you start a gallery soon so you can share your work.
(Geez, Gary, she'll never recognize Mike with that skimpy description. At least tell her what color shirt he was wearing last time you saw him...:D)

Welcome, I love the picture of the man on the bench in your gallery. Is there a tutorial you used for that effect? That's the effect I am trying to create. I would call it grunge. Glad to meet you, Sherry.

I live on a very protected inlet and our property is right on the ocean and we have no snow but drive 1/4 mile away for the coast there is tons of snow.

Hi Winsunn,
I got this from a photoshop magazine from the UK...it goes something like this...open your picture, then open a textured images (for example I used a picture of leaves) then you drag your textured image overtop your photo, then erase the bits you want to expose, and a adjust the transperancy then drag the layer that has the eraser marks on it and drag it up to the new layers button(it creates the layer again but a bit differently) and so on until you get the effect you want then merge the layers and create a hue/sat layer and and adjust the satuartion on the master layer you can check colourize and have and change the tone all together...
Hope this makes sense...I am doing this from memory.
Sherry:)
