replace object

I have a picture of my dad stood beside my sister, how can I eliminate my sister and replace with myself from another picture?

Hi Tooktook.

That's a common task people want to do, and takes some time to do it well, but I'll give you a basic idea.

Open up both photos in the Editor.

On the photo of just you, make a selection of yourself using the Lasso tool.

Make sure you can see both images in your workspace (if not, go to Window - Images - Tile (or Cascade).

Select the "Move" tool (or hit V) and then drag the selection of you onto the photo of your dad and your sis.

Use Save As to save this image as a new image, then use the free transform tool to resize yourself to the right size, proceed to Clone stamp out your sister, erase any poor edges around you, and you should start to see what I mean.
