Adding Frames

I'm confused about adding frames to a pic. While in the full edit mode I would like to add a frame to a picture after I have completed the editing. When I 'click' on a frame, it pops into the main picture area & covers the picture w/a note saying something like add or drag pic. here . Is there a way to add the frame to a pic that is already in place?

Some of the frames that I have act that way. I save picture after editing, remember where picture is saved to. Open Frame, then open picture. you might have to use the move tool or transform tool to place as you like.

Hi Dales, I duplicate the image, then add the frame. It does exactly what you say, but I then have another image in the layers palette that I drag across to put into the frame once I have sized the frame accordingly. Hope this helps.
