I have done: edit>stroke selection 6 px, then select> modify>expand 50 px. Then it says "stroke it to get the second oval". I do not know what this means and do not know how to do it.

select>modify>expand 50 px will give you a selection of an oval surrounding your original oval.

Now, edit>stroke will put a stroke on that outer oval so you end up with nested ovals.

And make sure to keep your stroke on a new layer.

You'll get a better pair of ovals if you do the bigger one first, then modify the selection to contract instead of expand. Expand seems to get some flat spots where you don't want them.
