Straight Diagonal LIne

Found it !! Line tool under shape tool.

I am working my way through Wendy's tutorials. Each one hits me with something I don't know! I need to draw a straight diagonal line. I can draw a straight line with the pencil tool and holding shift down. But I can't convince it to draw a diagonal line.

How do I draw a straight diagonal line?

hmmmmmmm.... not sure what's going on but you should be able to click once with the pencil tool, press and hold the SHIFT key, and then click again with the pencil tool to draw a diagonal line. You might try closing out of PSE and restarting with a new document.

You can do the same ('shoot a line') with the brush tool as well.

I have PSE4. What works for me is using the brush tool and a small solid brush (in the default brushes) click at start point, move cursor to end point and shift-click. That should give a straight line. When I try dragging with shift it only goes stright vertical or straight horizontal. Good luck.
