Hat pins, band saws and cheddar cheese all have one thing in common. They're sharp. They're also all part of this week's theme ... something sharp.

Be careful with this one ... we don't want any theme related injuries.

I've posted a link to this thread on the Creative Elements site as well.

The fine print:

Everyone is invited to participate.
Because the purpose of the weekly theme is to get us more familiar with our cameras and to sharpen our photographic skills, entries should be taken during the week of the theme.
Photoshopping is allowed.
To make this thread more manageable to view, please post only your entries in this thread. Post your comments in the accompanying 'comment' thread (http://www.elementsvillage.com/forums/showthread.php?t=31629).
Be creative and have fun!

Oh boy - I'm first! This is a collection of my husband's "sharp" toys from his new hobby. His band saw, radial arm saw and wood lathe (and a few of his projects). When I saw band saw in your description I knew right where I was going! :D

A visit to my needlecraft supply cupboard once again (well, it was either that or a revisit to my dh's medical bag, but I thought the sight of some doctor's needles might make some people squeamish.....)

Thanks Bayla for leaving the medical field wide open. I had the opportunity to spend some time at a hospital emergency room (not to worry) a few hours after the theme was posted. These sharp looking things were actually in the room with us:eek::eek:. The folks in the know assured us that they were used to remove plaster casts. We did not challenge that claim.;)

Yipes! It's gotten dangerous already! Thorns were my first thought, but instead here's this.

I was waiting for "why the heck do you have that?" week to take a photo of this.

This is a Japanese Hardy Orange better known as a Smelling Orange. They are very common around old homeplaces and old fence rows in the south. Believe me, those thorns are evil. We have popped several lawn mower tires by running over fallen branches.

I was going to show my old antler handled carving set by itself, until a "friend" mentioned I have a sharp tongue. So I combined them and it looked somewhat like a Dali image. So I had added clouds to lean it more towards Magritte.

Here's a shot of my fishing knife. The picture itself was none too great so I tried to make it less hard on the eyes........

Thought it was only right... you played with me, I needed to play with you. :)

Here is my sharp image. My grandmothers ice pick. I keep it in the trunk of my car for 2 reasons. If I need to punch a whole in a sign to add my name rider an if someone gets me and throws me in the trunk. :p

I posted in both places. The stainless steel sunflower has some very sharp edges and points, the alo vera has some sharp points and the picture has one "unsharp mask".
