I've downloaded and installed the ICO plugin (http://www.telegraphics.com.au/sw/#icoformat) which should allow me to save a file in the "Favicon" format for websites.
It's supposed to work with all versions of Photoshop, but for some reason it doesn't with my PSE 2.0 on my Mac.
I simply placed the "icoformat" file inside Photoshop Elements' Plug-Ins-File formats folder, restarted PSE, made an image and tried to do a "Save as...", but there's no new file-format choice to be seen.

If the above version isn't compatible with PSE 2.0 after all, is there another plugin that allows me to do the same thing?

Never mind. It works now.
I don't understand why it didn't work to begin with. Perhaps it needs some cache files to be refreshed or something. I know that with some add-ons for PSE you need to delete certain cache files, but there was no mention about this in the instructions.

So with this I can confirm that the plugin does indeed work with PSE 2.0 on the Mac (and probably the Windows version as well).

There are certainly other reasons to export .ico files (which your plug-in helps with), but for favicons I have had good luck with this site (http://www.chami.com/html-kit/services/favicon/). Just upload a graphic and it gives you back a favicon.
