Just noticed this forum for intro's. I've been here about a month or so. Loving every bit of what I've read and seen so far.

A little about myself. I'm a Mom of three grown children, ages 31, 28 and 26. My middle son is a Navy Sailor currently serving in Iraq. Prayerfully he will be home sometime after the new year. I'm also a grandmother of three, my granddaughter just turned 4, one grandson will be 3 on Dec 30th and my other little grandson turned 1 in July.

I love taking pictures, I'm an amatuer at best but my husband bought me a nice digital camera a few years ago, an Olympus C-3020 zoom. I've not taken the time to learn all the features but have used some night settings to take pictures of the moon over the ocean, some silouettes of a church at lakeside and tons of pics of my grandchildren and flowers.

I haven't used a program like PSE6 until about a month ago, but have dabbled with other similar programs over the past few years. I'm hoping to learn alot and improve my photography skills even if just for my own enjoyment.

I appreciate all the members here, their contributions and the tutorials and videos that make learning this program so much easier and more fun.. I hope to contribute someday and return the kindnesses I've received this past month.

Thank you for giving us a place to introduce ourselves. Have a wonderful day. :)

Hi Kathy ...

It really is a good idea to have this section ... it lets people introduce themselves and its nice to "know" the person behind the user name :)

Welcome, Kathy! You will find the folks here friendly, most helpful, and very, very talented. I hope you share often and tell us what you're working on. Your family sounds wonderful - many thanks to your son for serving in Iraq.

Kathy, I'm glad you took the time to formally introduce yourself even though we've been enjoying your company for a while now. Hopefully you'll post a lot of images of your grandchildren - I'm not very good at photographing kids and look for inspiration from those who can. Keep us posted on your son in Iraq as I'm sure all of us are with you in hoping for a safe and speedy return...

Hi Kathy

So nice to 'meet' you. I feel as though we have so much in common already - my daughters are 32 & 31, and my son is 26. My grandies are Michael just 5, Chelsea just 3, and Tiana just 1. And I just adore them! You would know exactly what I mean - grandies are so precious.

Welcome to the forum. I am a mother-in-law of a soldier serving in Iraq on his second tour. My prayers will be with your son as well. You will find this to be a wonderfully friendly, helpful place.

Hi Kathy and welcome,

This is a warm and friendly forum and a great resource when you have questions about PSE. It sounds like you have lots of subjects to practice your photography skills. I encourage you to start a gallery. It's a great way to show off your work!

Thanks everyone. I appreciate the welcome. I am trying to get some photos together (non PSE) to put in a gallery here. I've edited them in other programs but they did not have the wonderful capabilities PSE has. So I will be working more on them as time goes by in PSE.

Thanks for your prayers for my Navy boy. And Nancy, I've been wanting to ask you about your "Support The Troops" and figured you had someone in your family who is in the service. Our prayers are with your son in law as well.

Toni, being a Gramma has been the most blessed thing for me. Nothing like it in the world. I have tons of pics of each one of them from birth on up to now..not all are edited, but some are and I plan to do alot more now that I have PSE6 to play around with.

It's just great to be a part of this forum. Thank you all for the welcome.

Kathy
