THIS (http://www.photoshopelementsuser.com/gallery/view_img.php?id=27305) is my husband with our new grandson, Gavin. I think he's just a little proud.;)

He does indeed seem proud, that's a lovely image. I'm supposing he's not the only one who is proud?

What a great photo and really creative presentation too. Gavin looks a bit like he was giving his Grandpa a piece of his mind! :)

Thank you Julie and Cristell. I changed it because I didn't like that one a lot. I like the sepia better.

Great page, Nancy!
I can tell you from experience that you will come to treasure these first shots of grandpa and Gavin even more than you do now. Six years have passed so quickly with our grandson! I love looking at the first pictures of my husband holding him. In fact, (even though we all know I don't admit to actually scrapbooking...) I have a series of composites that I call "a guy and his grandpa" which are done with photos of grandson and grandfather doing simple things together.

Great page Nancy! You've captured the pride and pleasure on Richard's face and I'm sure both he and Gavin will treasure this.

Thank you all very much. I switched the back photo and liked it a lot more. He is soooooo proud. He made him a baseball bat on his wood lathe before he was born. It is about 18 inches long. It was really funny to see how excited he was. Only thing is, Cara will have to take it away from him once he can hold it because she'll have no shins left once he starts swinging it. :D

Thank you Trish and Kathy. Well - since Grandma is the only one who know how to use the camera it's hard to get any shots right now. I'm working on it though.

Nancy: your photo really pulled the heart strings. the sepia image is so strong with the emotional bond being exchanged between the two. . . and the background color and font fit really well. the "color" version you included lent the "sepia" version to giving another level of showing "a private moment". i really feel that every one sees something different in a 'creation' and i truly enjoyed yours! thank you for sharing. Thank you so much Diana and San. I was so tickled to see him with the baby.
Little story - my daughter did not want him in the delivery room, obviously, so it was me, her mother-in-law and my other daughter because Travis was still in Iraq. Cait (my other daughter) was standing there texting him what was going on in the room because he was pacing outside. Cait would giggle several times because he would say things like "git-r-done" or "you're not delivering the great pumpkin - what's the holdup?" Once she was cleaned up and covered up, he came in and was so excited all the nurses were giggling at him. He is gonna be a really great grandfather.

I just checked your gallery & saw the sepia background. It looks awesome. I love the genuine expression how he is looking at the baby in background. True love at first sight. It is great. I know both of you are very proud.
