My oh my things have changed! Shall we get to the 5th anniversary of the Challenge? Heck can we get to #250?
The Challenge is by Dory and it is a drab building that needs something done to it, what I just don't know! Have fun as usual.

Bill -
What a unique idea! I love it! However, I noticed you didn't put the house on Park Place or Boardwalk! What? The Neighborhood Association wouldn't let it in? :p

Are you really in Dundas NS or was it just an oversight in your sig??:D

Kim - Thanks ... not even close on Boardwalk. They did a background check and the best I could do was Mediteranean Ave.
Thanks for the comment.

Steven:
I love your Edward Gorey "Beastly Baby" image! Wonderfully twisted idea! A question comes to mind.... just how in the heck did you get a hold of one of my baby pictures?!?

Well I did live in Dundas just a couple of hours from where you are now ... to bad we never did coffee. If you are ever in Nova Scotia we will have to do .... Propeller.

Kim- So do you like Edward Gorey too? He appeals to those of us with fractured personalities! It took some sleuth work, but I found your baby photo on your MySpace page.:D
Kidding aside, thanks for the comment.

Oh, snap! But, yes, Steven, I do enjoy Edward Gorey! He was twisted, too, much like yourself!
And I first started to tease you and ask if it was YOUR baby picture you used but I decided to take the high-road! See where it got me? ;)

Kim- Nice job; three slams in such a short response! And to think I was the one to egg you on to get to 100 posts! I guess we all have our regrets. I live my life on the low-road.;)

Yes, Steven,
You're the one who encouraged this posting monster ! Now, you're just going to have to deal with it! :D See you on the low-road!

Grant asked for a little something different for this house -- I think he got it.
ALEX B: The blue roof does look different, but I have to go with the Russian monastery look.
ANNE T: Great night transition -- the shadows work well.
BARBARA W: The shingles fit well with the other textures -- #2 is the fav here.
BEN M: Nice ink and color look -- the lit windows are a nice touch.
BILL Z: The Monopoly board was an inspiration, even if you built in a downscale neighborhood.
CHUCK F: That storm looks like a bad one -- hope the cat gets in before too long.
ELLEN H: Great cheesy postcard look (love the CAA logo)!
KIM B: So does the locals' car just run in reverse? Nice inserts.
LISA B: The cemetery monuments match your lighting well.
MALCOLM D: Nice pen and ink effect.
MARIA EB: I see Ichabod has decided to escape by boat -- good move.
MARIE S: Hansel & Gretel settled down in the gingerbread house? The King's Arms looks like a cozy spot and that cat is back!
MARILYN L: Hope that grizzly is the friendly one -- nice relocation (love the smoke!).
MEREDITH B: The paper texture works nicely with the shingled houses.
RALPH H: Let's hope that particular setting is spared the 'growth' you portray! Have to go with the dollhouse as my fav here -- great idea!
RITA G: Great watercolor look to the trees and sky -- I'm suspecting a lot of brush work went into that!
RED S: Neat image idea flowchart -- now just add some probabilities and you could plug it in to a linear model and predict success levels! Interesting book jacket and background in #2.

Bob
Thank you and again you are right on the money.
The house is just a stones through from the house that they used in making the movie Dolores Claiborne. The view from the front door is stunning especially as you watched a hurricane come smashing ashore on your rocky beach.
Well done everyone and thanks for making 149 a great Challenge.

Thanks as always Bob for the comments. I liked your line drawing and was going to ask how you moved the dory but then read your page.
There were lots of wonderful riffs - some that stick in my mind are Bill's going slumming, Chuck F's storm, Rita G's warm painting, Steven's letting us see his work/mind flow and my favorite, I think, Ralph H's dollhouse.
