Lesson 7 - Advanced adjustment layer techniques

Can't get this tutorial to work.

I have added the hue/adjustement layer.I have changed the color on the mask to black. I set the foreground color to white but when I go to paint over the trees the colours don't change.

Anybody got any ideas?

Did you click on the mask to make it active?

Sometimes it is just a little thing that causes a headache -- you're a day ahead of me but it is something that I have remind myself to do.

It should work just the same way in Elements 2 ... I suspect that Will is right. Just make sure that you have the layers palette open and that you click on the layer mask ...

Also check the opacity and blend mode of the Brush tool: should 100% Normal.

Also, try really overdoing the color change in Hue/Saturation to make sure you can see the change - you can always change the color back later.
