Here's (http://www.photoshopelementsuser.com/gallery/view_img.php?id=27165) my attempt at a colored pencil effect. Let me know what you think :)

Great job Susan! I got some cars from a recent show in my gallery...almost the same types of cars. Only I used sketch effect...

Cars make great subjects for using the different techniques! You did great!

Thanks everyone for the kind words. I'm continually amazed at what this program can do. Yes, Norma, cars to make great subjects... they're never camera shy :D

Here (http://www.photoshopelementsuser.com/gallery/view_img.php?id=27174) is the same photo as a watercolor. I can't decide which version I like best

Susan, very sharp as a watercolor! Haven't tried that technique yet...I have the instructions but it seems hard and tedious. Got any tips to make it easier?

And you are right, cars are not camera shy...and they always have a "good side"!:D:D

Hard call as both are great - detail is better in the sketch, but the watercolor gives me the best "mood" for the car - as it's not surrounded with other vehicles or people from a different era.

I wish I could say it was easy, Norma, but my watercolor and colored pencil techniques are about 30 to 40 steps depending on the original photograph. I've been working on achieving a good watercolor for quite a while now. Fdlite's Watercolour Tutorial got me started and then I just kept playing with it until I was happy with the result. I'm proud to say that my customers are really loving their digital art photo creations :).

Here is the original photo I started with:

I have his technique...I just have to sit down and know it'll take a while to do! Yours is very nicely done! I'm sure your "customers" love all those great creations!
