True - it used to be black.
TPBM will be working tomorrow despite the holiday.
riversidema
January 18th, 2009, 10:15 AM
True. Airports never close (unless you are in a hurry).
TPBM has pictures on their camera that were taken over a week ago, and still hasn't uploaded them.
kim2900
January 18th, 2009, 07:10 PM
False - I usually try to offload them as soon as I can to see how badly I missed the shot! Then maybe I still have time to go back and do it over!
TPBM is blessed to have a special friend who can always make them laugh, no matter what kind of mood they're in! :D
Red Sky
January 18th, 2009, 07:26 PM
True. I like to be with friends that have a sense of humor. Nothing is worse than a wet blanket friend, who for all their redeeming qualities still live in the "Knock knock" world.
TPBM is soooo glad the Bush regime is about to end, as well as his attempt to rewrite history? If that's too opinionated I offer a second question; TPBM likes Little Green Bag by the George Baker Selection, and wonders what the heck he is referring to?
kim2900
January 18th, 2009, 07:34 PM
True! For both! But I'll address the "Little Green Bag" question since that will be more fun! I have always loved this song! And I have my theories on what's in the little green bag, but I won't say!
TPBM wonders what was going through the mind of some artists when they chose to record songs like "I Shot the Sheriff" and "Muskrat Love!"
Red Sky
January 18th, 2009, 07:46 PM
False. I don't question song titles. Caravan has one called, "Very Smelly Grubby Little Oik." Who am I to judge?
TPBM thought Ann Landers was more accepting than her sister Abbey?
kim2900
January 18th, 2009, 07:50 PM
True! Although I wonder if it wasn't just their way of competing against one another!
Speaking of which....
TPBM had (or still has) a sibling rivalry going on.
Red Sky
January 18th, 2009, 07:58 PM
False. My siblings and I have scattered like the wind all over the country. So no rivalry for me.
TPBM used to have a Snow-cone or a Creepy People machine?
kim2900
January 18th, 2009, 08:06 PM
True!!! And also a Cotton-Candy machine! Talk about a sticky mess!!! It was like playing with spider webs! But much better tasting! I haven't thought about those in years!!!
TPBM has ever mistakenly used one product thinking it was another. I once but a drop of breath freshener in my eye thinking it was eye drops!!! My eyes still water at the memory of the pain!!!
GaryK
January 18th, 2009, 08:11 PM
True
TPBM is watching football right now.
kim2900
January 18th, 2009, 08:19 PM
False! But I don't need to! I'm able to hear a play by play of all the bad calls and stupid errors in excruciating detail from the next room!
And, Gary, come back here!!! You can't just say "true" to my question and then run off without explaining what stoopid thing you did (like I did!!!) :o
TPBM thinks there needs to be a little more quid pro quo on this thread!!!! :p
Red Sky
January 18th, 2009, 08:50 PM
True. You give a question like, "TPBM likes to look at the stars and think that they are looking at light cast hundreds, if not thousands of years ago" and the answer is laid out as a simple T or F, with no explanation. No pondering, no insightful elaboration or contemplation. Frustrating!
TPBM likes jam far more than jelly.;)
kim2900
January 18th, 2009, 09:01 PM
Hmmm..... let's debate the merits of both, shall we????
Is the difference that jam has more fruit in it and jelly is simply that... congealed spreadable flavor? If that's the case, true. Give me "stuff" on my toast!
TPBM prefers waffles over pancakes.
Red Sky
January 18th, 2009, 09:06 PM
This is getting too heavy, Kim. Give me something I can work with! Are the waffles Belgian, with whipped cream and strawberries, or are you just filling the squares with syrup?
TPBM used to contemplate Bertrand Russell's philosophy that everything is hollow?
kim2900
January 18th, 2009, 09:09 PM
:eek::eek::eek:!!!
Uh.......Tralse?
TPBM sometimes feels stoopid while reading some of the questions on this forum! :o
Red Sky
January 18th, 2009, 09:14 PM
Mabey that's true, but mabey that's false.
TPBM...Quisp or Quake?
kim2900
January 18th, 2009, 09:18 PM
You're breaking the T or F rules!!! But I don't adhere to "no stinkin' rules!" So...
Quisp!
TPBM thinks rules were made simply for the joy of breaking them!
Red Sky
January 18th, 2009, 09:43 PM
True. Growing up and playing squareball liners were in if I was the server, and out if I wasn't. I was a pure rebel. It was great fun being the benevolent dictator of the playground.
TPBM remembers the sawdust the elementary school custodians used to clean up "bio-hazards?"
kim2900
January 18th, 2009, 09:51 PM
I was a pure rebel.
Steven.... what's this "was" stuff???
True! I do remember that! Ew! Not a good olfactory memory!!!
TPBM ever went to school or an event "contagious" because they didn't want to miss out on anything! I attended the last day of the school year in first grade when I had the mumps because I didn't want to miss the end of school year events! I know.... I probably infected every kid there!
I'm sorry First Grade Class of Sutherland Elementary!!!!
vawitt
January 18th, 2009, 10:42 PM
False - my mom worked at my elementary school and wouldn't let me do stuff like that.
TPBM went to see a theatrical production of a popular movie today, and was SHOCKED at how raunchy the stage version was compared to the movie ("look at me, I'm Sandra Dee...") but like it anyway! ;):D
Byron Gale
January 19th, 2009, 01:06 PM
False - I haven't seen anything theatrical (other than some antics by the grandchildren) in years!
TPBM is saddened by the passing of Bob May - the man inside the robot on the Lost In Space TV show.
CarolLHB

Live long and prosper.
TPBM watched the Barack Obama Inauguration. While still, sick in bed.
Ellen

TPBM is older than the president of the U.S for the first time
vawitt
January 20th, 2009, 11:15 PM
:o:) I plead the Fifth.
TPBM saw some or all of the inauguration spectacle and was moved to tears at times.
BOBGRUETTER
January 21st, 2009, 03:33 PM
TRUE, SO TRUE I wasn't going to waste my time with it, but my wife was working, and I decided to tape the audio. ended up Setting a tripod and camera in front of the TV so she could get a little of what I felt. the spirit of hope decended on me and I really felt good. Even at my age I will bust it to try and help us come back.
TPBM is optimistic of the future(not just the near, but long term.)
Bob
vawitt
January 21st, 2009, 04:33 PM
True!
TPBM is wondering why Bob didn't just push "record" on the TiVo, or VCR?:D
lionsleeps
January 21st, 2009, 05:43 PM
False! Bob must've had his reasons! I don't know what TiVo is:confused:, and mine is a VCR/DVD combo that refuses to cooperate with the satellite hookup.
TPBM: loves a forum where any subject (not obscene--mostly) goes, without complaints! (My miniature horse forum moderator constantly gripes if you go off subject.) Gee, what's off subject for this one?;)
Red Sky
January 21st, 2009, 07:29 PM
TRUE! The more subjects the merrier!
TPBM wonders about the Beatles song, Norwegian Wood? The girl/bird had a room, a rug, wine, a bathtub, a fireplace, perhaps a clock (they knew they talked until 2) and a job, but she had no chair! What's up with that?
vawitt
January 21st, 2009, 08:29 PM
False - although NOW I'm wondering....maybe the chair was burned in the fireplace, for warmth?
TPBM has burned furniture - for whatever reason.

TPBM wonders about the Beatles song, Norwegian Wood? The girl/bird had a room, a rug, wine, a bathtub, a fireplace, perhaps a clock (they knew they talked until 2) and a job, but she had no chair! What's up with that?
That's standing room only!:D
Um, false! We have firewood for that. Last year's and this year's! (Had no winter to speak of last year--this'uns different!)
TPBM: Has met new folks and learned new techniques and other things ALREADY on the 365 Challenge for 2009--and we're not even through January yet!:):):)
Ellen
January 22nd, 2009, 10:00 PM
True, fun isn't it?
TPBM hasn't watched a movie since the start of the year
Red Sky
January 22nd, 2009, 10:10 PM
True. But I haven't watched an entire movie in at least 2 years. Before that it was the last century!
TPBM appreciates light switches and what they do?
lisabee
January 23rd, 2009, 04:35 AM
True (I think, unless there is something I'm not getting :o)
TPBM does not like these economy light bulbs that don't put out enough light to see anything by
vawitt
January 23rd, 2009, 08:21 AM
True true true!
TPBM also doesn't like when an entire movie or TV episode is filmed in "mood lighting". To me, mood lighting = too dark to see what's happening.
kim2900
January 23rd, 2009, 08:28 PM
True! I love dark, moody, and eerie, but I also want to see what's going on and who's about to get whacked! And by what!
TPBM hates to hear one of their favorite classic songs being used on a COMMERCIAL! What a sell-out! :(
Red Sky
January 23rd, 2009, 09:21 PM
True- The Flaming Lips on Madison Avenue, selling cars. Not good.
TPBM loves CFL bulbs and the fact that they give out comparable light to incandescence bulbs, if the user matches the wattage accordingly? I mean, they use 1/3 of the energy and don't give off the wasted heat, so what not to love?
kim2900
January 23rd, 2009, 09:27 PM
True - And the thing about these bulbs is you have to give them time to warm up in order for them to reach their full lighting potential. Something I didn't know when I first started using them.
TPBM can't look at ANY printed advertisement now without studying it to see how it may have been photoshopped. I once was 'nave' [sic] enough to believe everything was straight out of the camera with very little retouching! Ha!
Red Sky
January 23rd, 2009, 09:33 PM
True- I like to analyze printed material for that reason. Sometimes you can steal an idea or two!
TPBM will answer this question as a straight True or False without any further elaboration; you hate it when you can't find your jockstrap?
kim2900
January 23rd, 2009, 09:41 PM
:eek::o:p False?
TPBM has to dwell in a nether world to come up with the thoughts and images that they do!
Red Sky
January 23rd, 2009, 09:47 PM
True. I like the nether world. It's not crowded and I get to bed by 9 o'clock! And interesting answer, Kim. I will have to analyze it!
TPBM, when they burn toast, throws it in the compost bin and starts over?
kim2900
January 23rd, 2009, 09:57 PM
ummm... Tralse - I usually try to scape it off with a knife and sneak it on the sandwich of somebody else!
TPBM believes the nether worlds shouldn't have a curfew!
Byron Gale
January 23rd, 2009, 09:58 PM
(edit: D'oh! never mind... too slow on the keyboard...)
False - dogs don't know that burnt toast doesn't taste good!
TPBM has not yet stowed all of the Christmas decorations...
Red Sky
January 23rd, 2009, 10:08 PM
False- No Christmas decorations were up in the first place. Halloween decorations is another story.
TPBM has spent over $300 at the vet's office this past week? Let's add hyper-thyroid to the list of maladies to be dealt with!
kim2900
January 23rd, 2009, 10:14 PM
False - not $300 this week but I sure wish I could claim Casey on my tax return as a dependent! The expenses of raising a pet can be enormous!!!
TPBM still wonders what was behind the honeymoon catastrophe in Freda Payne's song, "Band of Gold." This mystery will forever drive me crazy!
Red Sky
January 23rd, 2009, 10:17 PM
False- Still on the "Band of Gold" thing? Give it a rest.:D
TPBM still wonders where the chair is in Norwegian Wood?;)
Ramie
January 23rd, 2009, 10:24 PM
(Can I play??)
False--Beatles, who?
TPBM is sad that TV stations no longer "sign off" and instead play informercials in the wee hours of the morning. (And whatever happened to the guy who pointed out astronomical features of the current night sky on PBS, right before they signed off for the night??)
Rachel
kim2900
January 23rd, 2009, 10:33 PM
False - when I was a toddler, I used to cry my eyes out whenever the stations signed off with the Star-Spangled Banner. No one knew why but my evil older brother and sister used to get me out of bed and park me in front of the TV at sign off time just to watch me bawl hysterically! (Yeah... I probably should be in counseling! :D)
One of TPBM's guilty pleasures includes bubblegum music!:o
vawitt
January 25th, 2009, 04:28 PM

Isn't it summer yet?:(
lsweeney
January 27th, 2009, 11:23 AM
As Kim says, Tralse? Snow all night and more tonight, but no sleet or ice yet.
(And, Ellen & Val, about the job possibility...I've had one interview with the camp director and will have a team interview tomorrow. Wish me luck, please!)
TPBM wonders why the birds on the feeder don't understand there are no free lunches. The price of those peanuts, raisins, grapes and seeds is a photo op. Full frontal, please.

Mostly true!
TPBM is wondering if any of our forum friends in Arkansas and Kentucky (Kim? Kim?) have been hit by the horrible ice storms.
MsKaty
January 29th, 2009, 07:09 PM
True- Kim was without power but it is back on now. We did fine here in Central Arkansas but my old "hometown" in Springdale was hit hard. My friend there said many, many trees are down and it will take ages to clean up. She has had her home blown away in a tornado and thinks this is MUCH worse!
TPBM escaped the storm.
Red Sky
January 29th, 2009, 07:14 PM
True! I'm in the PNW and it is finally back to the normal drizzle and clouds. In a side note I sent an email about the ice storms to my favorite banterer, 2900, a couple days ago, and it has been unanswered. She is perhaps one of the 1,000,000 people without power. Hope all those affected are back soon!
TPBM thinks that my post (#2783) in this thread is somewhat prophetic?
Byron Gale
January 29th, 2009, 07:20 PM
Whoa.... eerily true!!
(This possibly explains why Kim's photo-clog has gone untended since Monday :( )
TPBM has a friend or relative who really, truly believes in the paranormal.
Red Sky
January 29th, 2009, 07:34 PM
Absolutely true! I believe in the paranormal. I can't begin to recount the number of dreams I have had that came to be.
TPBM had the Kreskin ESP game and Ouija board among their childhood board games?
NMarti
January 29th, 2009, 08:10 PM
True - an Ouija board. Funny thing - it said I would marry someone named Allen. That is my husband's middle name.
TBPM thinks CSI without Grissom is just not cutting it.
vawitt
January 29th, 2009, 09:49 PM

TPBM watches a soap opera.
MsKaty
January 29th, 2009, 10:53 PM

TPBM is dreading the upcoming "march madness" basketball.
Byron Gale
February 4th, 2009, 11:15 AM
True... as someone who wouldn't care a whit if basketball ceased to exist, I do get tired of the hype. For my taste, I'd rather March Madness was all about college volleyball!
(Kim - Danny Elfman certainly has come a long way... Dead Man's Party remains my favorite)
TPBM recently unearthed a stash of their old files on floppy discs -- and has nothing with which to read them!
Tina_B
February 4th, 2009, 01:56 PM
False no Floppy disc but did find some photo cd's that I made several years ago when I was a photo "expert" and they don't work on anything either. I was so sure I knew it all back than. NOT!

True. I'm told I need to get tickets within 5 years for New Zealand and Australia. Anybody have any?:D
TPBM is familiar with The Police's song, Synchronicity II, (and it's relevance to Carl Jung's theory of seemingly coincidental occurrences that are related through various elements and definitions, such as the malaise and tedium of the mind and the monster emerging within a different sphere,) and just likes to play it LOUD!;)
Byron Gale
February 4th, 2009, 06:24 PM
True -- "...many miles away, there's a shadow on the door - of a cottage on the shore - of a dark Scottish lake!" That has to be my favorite Police album. Don't tell the director I said so.
TPBM recently passed up a great sale on memory cards for their camera because they just don't need any more.
Red Sky
February 4th, 2009, 06:33 PM
True? I didn't know about any sale, and thought I was set with 4 GB of cards, but I may need more as I am becoming a RAW convert!
TPBM has their own toothpaste, and is free to squeeze from the middle or top if they so wish?
vawitt

vawitt
February 4th, 2009, 06:44 PM
Tee hee....false.
(Steven and I were posting at the same time, so my post appears to be jumping from a discussion of toothpaste habits to shopping. Funny how that works! I DO have my own toothpaste, if anyone cares to know...)
TPBM is the type of music listener who likes to play the same song (or CD) over and over when it's first brought home.

TPBM suffers dreadfully from jet lag.
Bayla
Tina_B
February 5th, 2009, 06:49 AM
I would love to suffer from Jet lag, that would mean I have been on vacation or traveled somewhere. But no jet lag for me.
TPBM will try a new or old technique today on a photo and post it.

What a great idea! I think, true, or at least, true-to-be! Thanks!!;)
TPBM has learned many new techniques from this forum, and now uses her/his favorites on photos going other than to this forum (like prints for family??).

Not if that's the store (http://www.staples.com/)where you purchased them... :D
TPBM meant to head off to bed awhile ago but got caught up reading this forum...:o
That is why I love the Village, there is no question so stupid that it won't be solved....:)
riversidema
February 5th, 2009, 10:05 AM
TRUE!
My dad is the one who got me started here, and now he is asking me for tips....
TPBM still check notes (like me) to remember some of those techniques that they love, but don't use enough to remember on their own.
Red Sky
February 5th, 2009, 09:14 PM
False- Totally trial and error for me! Intuition does play a part, however,
Still thinking about music.....
TPBM thinks it is totally ironic that in the Bee Gee's song, Staying Alive, the first line of "Well, you can tell by the way I use my walk, I'm a woman's man, no time to talk" is sung in the most excruciating, high pitch and effeminate falsetto?
kim2900
February 5th, 2009, 09:34 PM
So very true! Did those guys just never reach puberty or something?
TPBM wonders about Gary Puckett (of the Union Gaps). His songs included "Young Girl," "This Girl is a Woman Now," and "Woman, Woman" (Have you got cheating on your mind?) Do you sense an unsettling motif here?
Red Sky
February 5th, 2009, 09:41 PM
True- And the town of Union Gap is only a couple hours drive from here.. Wasn't Mr. Puckett once hooked up with Morgan Fairchild? My subscription to In Touch ran out.:D
TPBM, staying on music, knows the line in Stairway to Heaven, "There's a feeling I get when I look to the west" and does have a feeling for a particular direction? North, east, south or west. Do any of the said directions conjure up a particular emotion?
kim2900
February 5th, 2009, 09:55 PM
True! I know the song and also feel a sense of wanderlust when I look to the west. I guess it's a feeling of places unseen, areas yet to be explored, new experiences and adventures that await...
TPBM used to have posters of bubblegum pop stars on the walls of their bedroom as an adolescent.
Red Sky
February 5th, 2009, 10:04 PM
False! Thanks for the potential setup, Kim! I had a poster of The Three Stooges and then it transitioned to Jimi Hendrix and Pink Floyd in late staged adolescence. Oh yeah, HR Puffenstuff in the real early years. :o
TPBM remembers the first album and/or 45 rpm they ever bought?
kim2900
February 5th, 2009, 10:09 PM
hmmm.... good question, Steven!
True'ish - I'm not sure if it's the first one I bought or the first one I remember playing over and over again; but it was "Nut Bush City Limits" by Ike and Tina Tuner. I still love that song!
TPBM remembers the Bee Gees "I Started a Joke," thinks it's a dumb song and still wonders what the heck it's about!
Red Sky
February 5th, 2009, 10:14 PM
True! Weird tune. Dumb (!) Kim! And since we are back to the Bee Gee's...........
TPBM knows that Elmer Fudd has lead vocals on the first line of How Can You Mend a Broken Heart? Listen to it!
kim2900
February 5th, 2009, 10:36 PM
It's true! And I think it was just wrong that they didn't credit Mr. Fudd for his stellar use of vocals.
TPBM knows where the Bee Gees are from - without looking it up?
vawitt
February 5th, 2009, 10:39 PM

TPBM likes goofy names on maps?
Ellen
February 5th, 2009, 10:53 PM
True- I got distracted but was on my way to Pysht when I
ended up here.
TPBM has a globe.
vawitt
February 5th, 2009, 10:59 PM
True.
TPBM has visited Globe, Arizona
Red Sky
February 5th, 2009, 11:00 PM
True, but so much of Africa is stuck in the 60's. And I've been to Pysht. That's near Joyce, right?
TPBM enjoys hearing out of town folks try to pronounce the Indian names for rivers and towns. Stillaguamish? Nisqually? Puyallup? Ohanapecosh?
lsweeney
February 6th, 2009, 05:29 AM
True. But what really makes me laugh is when the local school's nickname or mascot ties into the town name. For instance, the Frankfort, Indiana, high school team is the Hotdogs.
TPBM comes from a school with a nickname or mascot that was just easy to pick on?
MsKaty
February 6th, 2009, 07:10 AM
True, in HS we were the Rockville Rox.
TPBM has a favorite silly mascot.
vawitt
February 6th, 2009, 07:34 AM
Gotta love Bucky Badger from UW-Madison
TPBM wore the mascot costume in high school or college.
kim2900

TPBM has had a perfectly good day ruined because one or both of their socks refuse to stay up!
Red Sky

TPBM wishes more people would curb their dogs, speaking of problems in the foot area?
kim2900
February 7th, 2009, 11:39 PM
True! - Isn't there a law???
TPBM thinks that the lyrics to the Dave Clark Five song, "You've Got What it Takes," is nothing more than a thinly veiled insult?
"You don't live in a beautiful place. And you don't dress with the best of taste. And nature didn't give you such a
beautiful face, but, baby, you've got what it takes."
What? A pulse???
Red Sky
February 7th, 2009, 11:56 PM
False- It seems highly complimentary! He is saying you got what it takes. Does he have to wax poetic on the other stuff?
TPBM would love to analyze and decipher some Frank Zappa lyrics, but figured a lifelong ban on the forum isn't worth it?:D
kim2900
February 8th, 2009, 12:09 AM
Steven - just try telling your wife that 'nature didn't give her such a beautiful face - but she still has what it takes' and see if it doesn't get you banned from your house!
True - I think it's best we decipher those lyrics on our own!
TPBM knows the name of the lead singer of Pink Floyd?
Red Sky
February 8th, 2009, 12:20 AM
True-The vocals were shared over the years, with Syd Barrett, Roger Waters, David Gilmour and Rick Wright, who died unfortunately a few months ago, doing the leads. Waters and Gilmour did the majority, however. That was too easy, as I'm a Floyd freak! You're welcome for the setup on the last line.
TPBM can name the drummer of Pink Floyd, without looking it up? :D
kim2900
February 8th, 2009, 12:24 AM
True (I think!) - Nick Mason? At some point, anyway.
A freak you say? Nah!
TPBM can name the two lead female singers of Heart.
Red Sky
February 8th, 2009, 12:26 AM

TPBM has seen a particular performer more than 10 times?
kim2900
February 8th, 2009, 12:31 AM
False - that might qualify me as a groupie. Are you a groupie, Steven???
And, come on! Heart? Ann and Nancy Wilson - sisters - Heartless? Barracuda? Anything???
TPBM knows who performed "Don't Fear the Reaper."
vawitt
February 8th, 2009, 12:34 AM
Blue Oyster Cult (saw them in concert and this number was AMAZING!)
TPBM has drifted to downloading music vs. hanging out in the CD store
Red Sky
February 8th, 2009, 12:35 AM
I was being sarcastic about Heart. I know who the Wilson's are!!! Jeez!:p
True- BOC. Blue Oyster Cult.
TPBM thinks Season's in the Sun is the worst song ever?
vawitt
February 8th, 2009, 12:39 AM
But, the wine and the song, like the seasons, are all gone....so who cares if the song is good or bad? ;)
TPBM wonders if Kim's "going Senior" post will be exhanced during rolicking banter with a certain Mr. Sky??
Red Sky
February 8th, 2009, 12:43 AM
True- It had better too, for the banter probably has gotten me about 1,000 posts on the way to Seniordom!
TPBM had their Thanksgiving with family late, like today?
kim2900
February 8th, 2009, 12:52 AM
False - I usually have my Thanksgiving in July like normal people!
TPBM knows who said, "I'd rather be dead than singing "Satisfaction" when I'm forty-five." And thinks it's hilarious and very ironic since he is now 65!!!
(By the way.... when is "Seniordom?")
Red Sky
February 8th, 2009, 12:58 AM
It's either Mick Jagger or Art Garfunkle. I'm not too familiar with the song mentioned.
TPBM is amazed that the 40 year anniversary of Woodstock is coming up? 40 years!
kim2900
February 8th, 2009, 01:05 AM
True! 40 years??? Holy cow!
(And you were correct, Steven, Mick Jagger!)
TPBM knows how much a three-day pass to Woodstock cost?
Red Sky
February 8th, 2009, 01:09 AM
False! Now you actually have me stumped. Took awhile! What did it cost, Kim?
TPBM is listening to music right now? Frank Zappa for me, and these lyrics!:o
kim2900
February 8th, 2009, 01:14 AM
Steven - a three-day pass to those amazing groups and the experience of a life time only cost $18 bucks! Can you believe it???
True - I'm listening to a variety of different songs - and speaking of lyrics.....
TPBM wonders how Sylivia's 'Pillow Talk' made it past the puritanical censors!
Red Sky
February 8th, 2009, 01:19 AM
True! That's a great song! It was offered to Al Green, but he turned it down for puritanical reasons!
TPBM will have to continue this on their own, for I am spent. Too much entertaining! The desert coffee has finally worn off. Time to go dream about windows! Goodnight!:)
kim2900
February 8th, 2009, 01:23 AM
Goodnight, Steven! It was fun! (And I finally stumped you!)
But "TPBM has to finish this on their own" is NOT a question.
So I guess I'll have to improvise.
TPBM would like to know why Steven would dream about windows?

February 8th, 2009, 12:33 PM
False- I think he was a shoe cobbler. At least that's what he told me.
TPBM wonders about Vitamin D deficiency, and has read many people suffer from it without knowing?
vawitt
February 8th, 2009, 03:14 PM
False - I'm a milk-drinkin' suntan-lovin' kinda Vitamin D gal.

February 8th, 2009, 07:21 PM
False. Sometimes I plan to plan something but then I usually get distracted by something else which reminds me....
TPBM sometimes wonders if it's just random letters or a real word everyone else knows (and they don't) in those letter/word verification boxes like on the photo blogs and some other web sites.
Ellen
February 8th, 2009, 07:46 PM
True, I assume it's random but some times the letters relate to the photo, Gary's great frozen waterfall had the verifier cryog.
TPBM is sometimes too easily amused.

TPBM: Would LOVE to win the lottery, just so he/she wouldn't have to do anything but take photos whenever he/she wanted!;) (Bought any tickets lately?)
Red Sky
February 11th, 2009, 10:03 PM
Both True and False- Although the thought of sudden riches are intriguing, the "Love" component is a double edged sword. So many people that have won the lottery, and whose lives have changed dramatically, really screw themselves up. So I would simply "Like" to give it a try! Then spend my free time learning how to tie various knots.

TPBM has ever attended a non-traditional (i.e. odd venue, odd couple, and/or odd attire) wedding.
Red Sky
February 11th, 2009, 10:20 PM
True- I have been to many weird weddings, my own included! A Vegas wedding on April Fools Day isn't really traditional.
TPBM has never, ever, been to a wedding in their entire life, where "We've Only Just Begun" was sung?
kim2900

TPBM: remembers Roy Clark's country hit "Thank God and Greyhound".
The chorus went:
Thank God and Greyhound she's gone.
The load on my mind got lighter when she got on!
That shiny ol' bus was a beautiful sight,
With the black smoke a-curlin' up around the taillight!
It may seem kinda cruel but I've been silent too long!

TPBM hates it when companies use words in place of their phone number! I always have to write it out first and then figure what number each letter stands for and does the O in the word stand for a zero or a six? It's all very confusing!

TPBM likes to find words in phone numbers, even just the last four of mine are impossible.

TPBM wonders if there is a Mr. Butterworth, and if so, does he eat Mrs. Butterworth's syrup? :)

February 16th, 2009, 09:36 PM
True! There must be! We all know "behind every great woman there is a good man!" ;)
TPBM has ever found out something they shouldn't have found out and it eats them up inside because they can't tell anyone what they know but shouldn't!

True- And who have you been talking to who knows me, Kim? It was all a misunderstanding! I thought it was legal!
TPBM has loose lips that sink ships, ships that carry scurvy, which is a horrible disease if you have ever read up on it, so on second thought it is best that those lips go down with the ship if it's going to get you in trouble? Follow me? I don't!:D

Um...false on the following?
(I'm posting because I THINK my # of posts and the # of replies in this thread will be equal when I push send....a momentary claim to fame?)
TPBM is dawdling here, waiting for The Daily Show to come on
kim2900
February 16th, 2009, 09:59 PM
Relax, Steven! I would never tell anyone about that illegal thing you did! You can trust me! (I take PayPal!)
Tralse - Not waiting for the Daily Show, but still dawdling just the same.
TPBM enjoys catching continuity problems in old shows. (i.e. Clara Johnson/Clara Edwards/Bertha Johnson = same character but different names used on the Andy Griffith Show!)

True- And as a Seinfeld fan, Kim, you will recognize Jerry is both a generous and a cheapskate tipper! Or is it OK to tip a bag handler well and skate out on the chambermaid?
TPBM has their total TV viewing time down to less than an hour vicarious viewing a day? A backdrop for news at the dinner hour only?
kim2900
February 16th, 2009, 10:19 PM
True! About the only time I watch TV is during mealtime.
Note to Steven - remember the episode in the "Chinese Restaurant" where Jerry mentions he has a sister? What ever happened to that mysterious sister?
TPBM will be traveling this weekend to someplace exciting.
Red Sky
February 16th, 2009, 10:25 PM
True! I'm taking photos at our mobile spay and neuter event called Neuter is Cuter! Male cats for $5! Want me to post all my photos later?:D
Note to Kim- I do remember that sister being mentioned. I think she hooked up with Newman, so the Seinfelds disowned her.
TPBM thought the Flinstones jumped the shark when Pebbles was born. Couldn't stand her goo goo talk!!!!!!
kim2900
February 16th, 2009, 10:38 PM
No! No pictures! Please!
True! - On sitcoms (and cartoons), it always seems to be a Jump the Shark move when they add a kid!
TPBM knows that The Darling clan on the Andy Griffith Show was (and still is) a real life bluegrass band called The Dilliards!
Red Sky
February 16th, 2009, 10:49 PM
True- They had to be real, for they played so good. Though the father, who played the jug, wasn't part of them, right?
TPBM remembers the scene where Barney was reciting the preamble to the Constitution? My favorite all time scene, that and when Aunt Bee got "smashed" on elixir!
I'm done playing for the night. It's been fun!
kim2900
February 16th, 2009, 10:59 PM
and when Aunt Bee got "smashed" on elixir!
"Toot-toot-tootsie, goodbye, Steven!":p And, no, Briscoe wasn't a member of The Dilliards.
True - I loved those scenes, too!
TPBM noticed that both Gilligan (Bob Denver) and the Skipper (Alan Hale) had cameos on the AGS. And Alan Hale called Barney "Little Buddy!"

February 17th, 2009, 06:40 PM
False - never saw that episode, but I think it's an intersting tidbit how often DH has those shows on, I'm surprised I haven't seen it.
BTW - to answer the unicycle question - I did have one as a teen but never became anything close to proficient, but I do have a good friend that is very proficient and he uses it as transportation all around Manahattan.
TPBM is still watching those old sitcoms on an analog TV - still haven't upgraded to HDTV (why bother - better to spend the cash on photo equipment!)
kim2900
February 17th, 2009, 08:07 PM
False - High def. all the way.
And Karen, I need to clarify that Bob Denver and Alan Hale didn't appear in the same episode. Bob played Charlene Darling's husband and Alan Hale played 'Jeff Pruitt' who was looking for a bride.
TPBM has seen their other hobbies and interests suffer the more they get involved in photography and photoshop! (Husband? What husband? Dog? I have a dog, too???)

TPBM is DIGGIN' their PSE skills, regardless of other hobbies (your DH is a hobby :rolleyes:) taking a back seat...
CarolLHB

Really true-PSE is my job now and my job is my hobby, I think...
TPBM always types TBPM instead of TPBM-please? Anyone? Anyone??:D
Bayla
February 18th, 2009, 09:19 AM
Tralse! Not always, but I searched this thread and discovered that on 13 occasions someone has typed TBPM and that on one of those occasions I was the guilty party.
TPBM is tempted to go back and correct a longstanding typo that s/he overlooked....in fact has been known to do so frequently.....
Bayla

February 18th, 2009, 12:44 PM
True! All the time!!! I need to change my moniker to "Queen Edit!" (Just ask Steven!)
Bayla and Carol - I'm probably the one who typed 'TBPM' the other 12 times. :o
TPBM :) is STILL resisting filing their tax returns electronically.

TPBM has had (or is having today, and waiting for the crew) waterproofing done to the basement (sigh...money always going somewhere...)
klsbear
February 20th, 2009, 08:04 PM
Well... sort of... I had a house in Michigan several years ago that needed some waterproofing work done, and I am having work done on the current house, though not waterproofing - a dormer, 2 new bathrooms and it includes some stuff they want us to do in the basement to get things up to code...

TPBM has several tech-related gadgets...and none of them seem to use the same memory cards (sigh)
Red Sky
February 25th, 2009, 05:45 PM
False- Only my cameras use memory cards, as I am somewhat of a technophobe. Well, I do like my iPods, but they have either flash or hard drive memories.
TPBM knew that today was Carrot Top's birthday? Why didn't anyone start a birthday thread?
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, CARROT TOP!

TPBM is relaxing at home after a long day at work.

"relaxing at home".... true
"after a long day".... true
"at work".... depends who you ask :D
TPBM likes playing the video game "Guitar Hero".
lsweeney
February 26th, 2009, 06:26 AM
False. I've never played Guitar Hero. I used to play a wicked game of "Pong" though.
TPBM doesn't own any of the current video game platforms...no Wii, no PSP...

February 26th, 2009, 07:07 AM
That is true but I am dying with envy:(.
TPBM has had your coffee and you and your spouse are both wood carving right now. A couple that carves together stays together. Bye! I have to go sharpen my knives.

TPBM stayed home from work today to fight off a bad cold/sore throat.
kim2900

False - but I should have stayed home as our tax software is acting up for the third day in a row!
TPBM has experienced a foot cramp while driving and discovered just how limber they are in trying to find a position in which to work it out! (yow!)

February 27th, 2009, 10:01 PM
False, and without elaboration!;)
TPBM prefers that their evening pants (common folk call them "sweats") be elastic in the waistband rather than a drawstring? I can't take anymore of the loosening knot that makes them fall off of the hips!
kim2900
February 27th, 2009, 10:14 PM
Tralse - I go either way. But the drawstrings don't feel as confining as the elastic ones. I just really love "sweats" no matter how they're made.
TPBM ever uses a cutesy baby voice to talk to their pets. (I do not.)
Red Sky
February 27th, 2009, 10:29 PM
Frue- Not cutesy per say, but cartoony. My stoopid cat, Angus, gets the Big Moose voice now and then.
TPBM ate a bad carrot this week?
vawitt
February 27th, 2009, 11:25 PM
False - but I know what you mean. Woody, chewy instead of crisp. Bleah.
TPBM has evening pants (elastic, drawstring or otherwise) with the name of their alma mater on them.

TPBM has an owl staring into the window at them and is feeling very "Harry Potterish"
Ramie
February 28th, 2009, 07:47 AM
False, but I did have an owl fly onto a street sign a few feet away from me, which also made me feel very Harry Potter-ish about 3 years ago.
TPBM is experiencing a 20* drop in high temperatures from yesterday, with another 20* drop forecast for tomorrow (and SNOW! In March! What is up with this weather???)
