Suzanne,
This looks great! Mixing effects is a great way to achieve a unique look, isn't it?

Suzanne,
I did the same thing, last night to my daughter. I really like the effect that it adds. Also found out that you don't have to do the multiply (blending mode) in the Orton Effect. Just do the darken. Just an FYI.
Thanks,
Dane

Thank you Toni, John, Kev, Norma, Wendy Susan, Dane and
Smiles. I had a great subject, which helps. She's a natural poser. Loves for me to take her photos.
Dane, after posting this, I added one more effect. I went back to the second layer and added another gaussian blur, which really gave it another nice touch. I'm not at my home computer now, so can't post the difference.

Thanks Cristell.
Susan, Dane is the one that posted the original tutorial. His post is right above yours. You might ask him where he posted it. I can't remember where.
Here's the updated photo that I added another Gaussian blur.

There you go Suzanne, putting me on the spot. :-)
Susan, it's very easy to do all you need to do is the Orton Effect (link below). What I have found is that I didn't have to do step 8 "Change the blending mode of the Out Of Focus layer to Multiply", but went right to the Darken blending mode (Darken replaced Multiply in my step 8). And if I understand Suzanne's post correctly, she then added an other step and that was to apply another Gaussian blur (a little). You could go even add another step, which is to add texture? ...
