Hi gears,
welcome.
Are you saying you have purchased PSE5 and want advice on upgrading to 6, or are you asking if you should buy 5 or 6 ??

I have elements 5.0 and wondered if it would be worth the upgrade to 6.0

Since the Photoshop Elements 6.0 free 30 day tryout from Adobe is available
http://www.adobe.com
why not download it and see for yourself how it compares with your Photoshop Elements 5?
If you do, make sure that you read the Read Me as well as Organizer considerations for Upgrading BEFORE you do so.

Are you planning on integrating Premiere Elements 4 with Photoshop Elements 6 for producing DVD slideshows?
Check out the problems/solutions reported in the Threads at this web site and see if you want to invest the time. I am in the middle of the tryout for the 6 version and have not yet made up my mind. I am still with Photoshop Elements 3 and have resisted versions 4 and 5 so far.
Make sure you do your homework (System Requirements, etc) before you buy.

I haven't upgraded yet but that is not to say that sometime in the future I won't. I just cannot justify the cost. Have a good look at this review before you decide because it is better to check things out first. http://www.pcpro.co.uk/reviews/128810/adobe-photoshop-elements-6.html?searchString=photoshop+elements+6 J.B.
