Thanks Wendy,
It is awsome! I want to try it out! I am new to the boards and pretty new to PSE but find that the knowledge here is extremely helpful. I love everyones work and am working on several new projects myself. Here is a link to my gallery.

Well Gary, actuall I have had PSE 2 and PSE 3 and never had the nerve to try out the layers and advanced editing features. I was "aghast" stuck in the mundane photos of a certain MS Digital Imaging software. Finally, I decided to dive in and purchased Scott Kelby's book and Rick Sammon's. I was so awstruck I just had to try out some of these techniques and I am HOOKED for life. It's amazing how your photographs can take on a whole new life. I love photography and have wanted to learn PSE for so long and now can't seem to soak up enough! I have been "lurking" here picking up tips and finally joined so I could get to the tutorials and am really glad I did. Thanks to all of you here! I humbly bow to you!

I had tried Photoshop a bit but couldn't afford it. Got PE2 with my camera but just did basic adjustments. Upgraded to 3 for the RAW capabilities (which I have barely used), found this site and now I'm hooked as well. :D

Nancy ...
I think that Elements is a "group thing" ... it is so much easier to learn to use it when there others around. Its great to be able to ask questions when you get stuck and to bounce ideas around on new things.
I'm sure you won't regret the subscription ... I certainly haven't done :)

Welcome Nanci-everyone is right, your gallery is terrific. This forum and the website was the thing that put me right over the edge! I've taken a few classes, which were nothing compared to what I've learned here. Aside from the great tutorials and videos, the advice and help you will get here is invaluable. The best thing for me is the encouragement and gentle pushing you get here to spread your wings... :D !
But watch out-it'll hook you completely!!

Carol,
You're right - I'm already hooked. I can't believe I spent so much time settling for mundane pictures when "wow" pictures were at my fingertips the whole time. I was just initimidated by Elements but the tutorials here show me it is really easy and a product of logical thinking = what you want to do and in what order it has to be done. I watch a tutorial, then I open a file and minimize the tutorial but follow the audio on a photo of mine and it is so easy because if I get lost, I just restore the tutorial, back up a few frames and watch it then go ahead and do it. It's like having a teacher standing over your shoulder telling you the steps as you do the work. I love it. I can't wait each day to try something new!

Thanks Carol.
As usual, I picked a hard picture to work with but it turned out pretty good. I know it needs some work but it was really fun! I'm check back through my pictures now for more to try it on. That one just jumped out at me because anyone who wore those outfits would be "ghosts" now. I love this place!!!!

Hello Wendy,
I am a new user, struggling a bit with technical language and English!
Can you tell me how you obtained transparency in the layers in some of your great work:?:
Thanks!

Hi there ...
... and welcome to the forum :)
Is there any specific image you want to know about ... that way it makes it easier for me to explain. Or if you wish to answer in French then I am sure that Ray will translate for us :)

We already communicated privately, in French. It's been a long time since I had the chance to speak PSE in French :)
