Milly (rat) went in to have a large mammary tumour removed this morning. I picked her up at 5pm. I was amazed how lively she was! At the moment she is asleep, but then so is her sister in the other cage. I have to keep them apart for a week and am supposed to stop Milly 'grooming' her stitches - easier said than done. Also I have two lonely ratties.

I forgot one of my tablets this evening and feel so much better for it! This last week has been a nightmare of side-effects.

Could you place the cages side by side so they can at least see & smell each other? I did that when I had to seperate my pet rets for a while, it seemed to help.

Ann,

Glad Milly seems OK :)

Forgetting a pill sometimes is very instructive. My DW has an impressive array of stuff to take - some for cancer and some for heart. She was really dragging about ten months ago after a medication revision involving several drugs.

She figured out which one was causing the problem and, on her next appointment, discussed it with her oncologist. His response, "Oh, well, quit taking that one! It's not that important!!!"

Don't think the entire laundry list of stuff is absolutely critical. I'm not about to practice medicine - talk to your doctor.
