I took (http://www.photoshopelementsuser.com/gallery/view_img.php?id=27060)this photo this afternoon. My camera's battery quit before I was ready to quit.

Great photo
Don't you just hate it when the batteries go dead right in the middle of a shoot. I try to carry extra batteries in my pocket but sometimes they are not good when I put them in. I recharge them and here is the question I have.
do the rechargeable batteries lose their charge after they sit a while? What kind are best to use?

That is a really nice image and I like the framing effect you used. Wish your battery hadn't quit so we could see more!

Thank you Julie, Kev, Tina, and Peg.
I charged the batteries overnight so i"m ready to go again. It's a short walk so I'll pick up where I left off yesterday.

I used a framing technique that I found on Flikr.com in the groups section. (I tried to put in a link but the address On my directions isn't working)

Tina, yes, the batteries seem to uncharge if they sit. It took me a while to figure out what was happening.--I didn't know that they could lose charge when not in use! We bought them years ago--the charger says "Monster Power Digital Charger. I take a lot more photos now than when we first bought it and I'm sure we've saved a lot of money by not having to buy batteries.

Martha, that's a beautiful photo and rendering!

I always carry not one, but two, spare batteries. Unlike the old manual cameras of the film age, without batteries your digital camera is a.....doorstop.
