Hello everyone!! I am new here, so please bear with me. I am wanting to use a midnight black action. This is my first action I am trying to get into PSE 5. I have the file unzipped and saved to my desktop, but I am having a really hard time getting it into PSE 5. I have been back to the site, but I have a feeling the instructions are for photoshop, not Elements. So, I would appreciate any and all help here. Again, this is my first try at an action, so I will need things explained. Thank you for your time!!

I found these instuction somewhere on the web and they worked for me.
After you unzip the download, move the folder to
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Adobe\Photoshop Elements\5.0\Photo Creations\special effects
If PSE was open when you moved the folder you will have to close and restart it. As it restarts you'll get the message that PSE is rebuilding the artworks and effect folder.
You'll find the new action under Special Effect
Hope this helps

The only thing is, is that I cannot seem to find the photo creations folder, which means i cannot get to the special effects folder. I don't know what I am doing wrong. I have had this effect downloaded for a couple of weeks, but I just can't seem to get it to where I need to go. Any ideas????

Hi Amber ...
First you need to make sure that the "Show hidden folders and files" option is turned on in Windows.
Then the instructions Nancy gave you are for PSE5 using XP ...
If you are using PSE5 and Vista the path is Vista is C:\ProgramData\Adobe\Photoshop Elements\5.0\Photo Creations\Special Effects
Last thing is ... I'm not sure if that action is written for Elements ?? so it maybe advisable to check that first :)
