Images won't open in Editor

Hi, I am new to this forum so hope I am following protocol! :0)

I saw an earlier thread about recently added photos not opening up in the editor workspace...I was wondering if any solution to this problem has been identified?

I am experiencing a similar problem - I tried the 2 suggested solutions in the previous thread (recovering the catalogue and restoring the preferences for the Organizer and Edit workspaces) but neither solution has worked and I still have a whole selection of photos which I can't now open in the Edit workspace.

Any suggestions gratefully received!

Have you been able to open them before or never? If never, did you import them via Organizer? Rename them? Are they in JPEG format?

Thanks, answers to your questions below:

All images were imported using the organiser
The only images afftected seem to be those imported on 23 October - all other photos were unaffected
All were JPEGS
I have now deleted all the "corrupt" files and re-imported them and this seems to have fixed the problem but I am still not sure what caused it in the first place - just hope it doesn't happen again as it was a real pain having to reimport them all again!
