Holy cow indeed. I wouldn't want to be on that street, or put it another way, I wouldn't be on that street.:D

Hmmmm......is that for real or has it been Photoshopped? I noticed that the shadow on the road is not as heavy as the shadow on the runway which makes me suspicious!

I have the same misgivings, Bayla...
The plane is in focus, wingtip-to-wingtip and nose-to-tail, while the rest of the image is not sharp.
It IS a great cut-and-paste job, though!!! Thanks, Don.

Might be fake but they do come in very low at St Maarten which is where I think this was taken. Here's another one:

Do a Google search for St Maarten airport and you'll find lots of stories about it.

Having seen the image Tony linked, I accept that they really do fly planes that low over the beach on approach... but I still wonder about the original, with the plane being in focus while the rest of the image is not. Maybe they were panning with the plane?

Cut and paste to us is one thing but the general population that see these photos are amazed that thing like that exist....those are your non-photoshoppers.......I'm passing that on to my untrained eyed friends and family for some fun and giggles. There are over 700 fun shots to see on that site. Cool!
Hell with that..........I'm going to find a photo of me and make me skinny again.............see untrained eyes will never know, then I have to go hid until I become that photo......;):D
Thanks for sharing.

Awe, suspicious minds. Photoshopped or not, its a great picture and quite frightening. I can feel the rumble just looking at the photo.

If you look at the water you can see the effect of the exhaust. I know that would be easy to add but that and the traffic/people patterns convinced me that it probably is real. For some cruel reason I envisioned a little old lady in a walker getting blown out to sea and then trounced on by sharks  Some things are better off not shared, i'm soory I'll try to behave.

I tried to find that photo where Trent Sellers has some of his photos posted and didn't see that one. I did a search of KLM St. Maarten and came up with some great video clips. Don't stand on the beach behind these jets!!!

OMG,
That youtube clip kind of validates that photo. That is way low. Like so low as to FOD out an engine should someone have a beach umbrella in that section of beach inline with the runway. . .

What I find funny is it seems most of the beach people are looking out to sea.??:)
How could you not look at the plane?? I'd be scattering if I was that close when one came in.
I'm not saying it is not real. I just know I wouldn't be standing there with or without a walker.:D

I guess doubledecker tourist buses are out of the question.
