Hi
I have just bought a new laptop, just as well because my pc is in for repair, anyway I loaded my new PSE6 on the laptop, the question is can I also load PSE6 on my pc when I get it back from the repairers? and have it on both computers?

Hi Alex. You can have PSE on both computers. The rule however is that you can't have them running at the same time. How they can tell, I don't know but thats what they say.

Hi Rob,
Your license agreement permits you to have PSE loaded on your desktop and laptop. That is exactly the same arrangement I have. Kim's comment above was referring to having two copies of PSE on the same computer. Thus, if you had 5.0 open and tried to open 6.0 on the same machine, 6.0 would fail to open.
Trying to use a common repository, like Organizer, on two machines is a challenge. I believe with some thought and planning it can be done, but it is tricky. The key will be only having one Organizer database on one of the machines and always have both machines up, running, and networked together whenever you use Organizer. It is one of the reasons I do not use Organizer.
Cheers,
Bob

Hi ...
Actually I think that Kim meant that you shouldn't be using it on both a PC and a laptop at the same time .. as that implies someone else would be using one of them.
... the funny thing is that if you have more than one version installed on a computer then Windows only allows you to open one version but on the Mac you can open as many different versions as you wish too.
I find that really useful for answering queries :)
