This mural was unveiled this summer at the Cochrane Ranche House.
For those people that live in another part of the world Cochrane is a small community just west of Calgary Alberta…
Each tile is 1 foot square, is it's own individual picture and each is by a different artist. All of them together form this huge mural.
You can click on each of the tiles to see them in detail. Check out the horse's eye.

If you click on the square of interest, you shouldn't have to squint. It will open up to a good size picture, and in many cases will have comments by the artist.

What a wonderful piece of art. I have seen this done in quilting to reveal a large quilt with everyone's square making an overall image but this outdoes that by far. Some of those square are so impressive.
Were each of the artist just given a blank tile to paint with nothing in mind or did they have specific colors based on thier square location? Did they know what the final image would be?? That eye photos is perfect especially if they were random.

Thanks Wayne,
Love that concept and now it make sense to start out with the basic color and/or shape and expand on that. I will pass that link on.......have to share.;)
