IS there a way to process files and then not be asked for each and every one if you want to save it? I can crop photos in Microsoft(I am not a fan of them BTW) Office Picture Manager and when I close the program it only asks one time if I want to save the photos I have saved. Is there a way to do this in PSE5?

Hi Doug,

I doubt there's a away to elect to turn off the Save As prompt. It's really a safety feature. If it didn't give you a prompt to rename and save your photo, you could inadvertently overwrite your original photo and then wish you hadn't later. What I do, when I'm editing a photo or making a creation with an image, is to immediately save it by a new name and then Ctrl-S to do a quick save periodically as I work on it.

Using versions 5 & 6, in the editor go to Edit>Preferences>File Saving Options. On "first save" I have the choices of "Always Ask", "Ask if Original", and "Save over current file."

I don't know if this gives you the choices you want, but it is a choice.

Oh thank you thank you thank you that is exactly what I have been looking for. I have looked at it numerous times and I could not figure it out. I think that will work fine for me. God Bless you. Now if I could get Layers to batch process I would be happier than all get out. Well that and be able to take great photos that is.
