Hello:

I've been using iPhoto to initially input photos then I fix my pics either through iPhoto or if they are shot in RAW or a great photo I use Elements. Am I better off using Elements 4.0 because it comes with Bridge to initially bring in pics and organize them?

Hi ...

... and welcome to the forum :)

iPhoto is a nice little organiser and slideshow maker etc ... but its useless at editing images.

You would would be a lot better off using Elements to do that.

My workflow is from the camera to iPhoto, check the images out, export to a desktop folder ones that need work doing on them, do the work and save back with another name to a desktop folder and then import into iPhoto.

I agree with Wendy that iphoto is good for organizing but use PSE for editing. I use a different flow. I use bridge to browse my memory cards via card reader, edit in PSE, save to a desktop file, then open iphoto & use import to import the files. I also have iphoto preferences set to open in PSE any photos I double click on. generally, whatever flow feels comfortable is best.
