I'm thinking about purchasing a graphic tablet and know that Wacom makes the best but also the most expensive. Does anyone have one made by another mfr., can reccomend one, and/or does anyone know if they are compatable with PSE and Vista.. Thanks in advance.

You can get the Wacom Bamboo, 4 x 5, for $79, full retail price, or for considerably less last time I checked (2-3 days ago) at Amazon.com. Those are pretty good prices and you know that you will have compatibility and reliability. Don't think that the small one will be inadequate to the needs of photo editing. I have 2 sizes; a Graphire 4 x 5 and an Intuo3 6 x 8, and the 6 x 8 is almost too big for me (and I now have a 22 inch widescreen display). Size needed has to do with desktop space and whether or not you tend to make big or relatively small movements. I have, btw, used a tablet almost exclusively (for everything) since 1997.

No other suggestions. Wacom here.

There has been some others using other tablets a while back. Some no problems others have had some issues. Sorry, I can't recall the brands or the problems but truth be told, how much cheaper can you get it once you are sub $80.:)
