Something has been spooking around the back of my mind lately, so help me get rid of it in time for Halloween!;)

Just how much space do (empty) folders take on a disk? I mean, Is it worth the trouble to take all of my pictures, for example, from October (now in folders according to date like the Organizer makes) and consolidate them into one "October" folder? Will it save me any reasonable space on the hard disk? I figure not, but the spook still troubles me!

Not much. but it might save you clutter. If you use the organizer, make sure you tranfer the files via the orgnizer - otherwise it gets confused and loses the commection.

Thanks, Ted. I have been transfering my files to an EHD and wondering if fewer folders would mean less room taken up.

Reka,
The folders do not seem to take up any space. I thought they might take up a few bytes, but apparently not. I added three empty sub-folders to a folder and, when looking at properties before and after, the byte count stayed exactly the same.
