As a new user I created a movie with main menu, scene menu which previewed fine.
Using Create DVD I followed the instructions burned a DVD OK, it plays on other PC/laptops but just loads on the DVD player and produces nothing, any suggestions?

First, what version of Premiere Elements did you use?
Did your create a standard DVD-VIDEO on the standard DVD-R disc (PAL version)?
What country are you in?
Did you check out the Region as well as the DVD disc specifications for your TV/DVD player?
If I have read the cited information correctly, have you tried creating a DVD NTSC version to see if that will play on your TV/DVD player?
Is the problem recent and just confined to this specific creation?

I am using version 3
yes I used DVD-Video and DVD-R for PAL
UK
Yes
No, see additional info.
This is the first time I have used Premiere Elements.
I checked the DVD on my neighbours DVD player and it worked fine?
I then tried an external DVD writer and found that could produce readable DVD for both players?
This then has brought up another problem, I went burn the 40 minute movie with the ext writer, the burn sequence then started to fail in the encoding phase, not in the same place the following message now appeared.
"sorry, a serious error occurred that requires Premiere Elements to shut down. We will attempt to save your current program."
Have you seen this error and what could be the cause?
I have created an export mpeg file with the same movie after but this a way round not how it should work.
