On PSE5 there is a line near the top of the screen with little blocks. If I want to jump from photos shot in 2006 to photos shot in 2004 I just look for the year , click on one of those blocks and I'm there. I can't find anything like that in PSE6 so I have to scroll and if I scroll too far too fast, all of my pictures grey out and and a grey colored image of a torn photo appears in each box. This stinks. Is their a way around this?

Do you mean the Timeline? It's still there in PSE6. Window>Timeline or Ctrl-L will toggle it on and off. The other way to do it which is to make Smart Albums by Year (eg Capture Date after 1/1/2004 AND before 1/1/2005 would give you a 2004 Smart Album)

Thanks Tony, I still can't figure out why my photos grey out occasionally with the torn photo logo in the middle. I kept PSE5 on my computer and this never happens on 5. Is it possible tha having 5 on is interfering with the browser on6?

I don't think so. I haven't seen the problem and I still have 3,4 and 5 on mine. They all seem to work independently. I don't have a lot of images in 6 yet - I tend to just add things when I need them rather than do wholesale conversions of previous catalogs.
