I found these old photographs (http://www.hammergallery.com/images/peoplepictures/people%20pictures.htm)very interesting... using people like pixels, or tiles in a mosaic.

If you browse through the rest of the site, it is also very interesting - but - there is some adult content in some of the galleries.

Thanks Byron! There was certainly some interesting artists on that site! Steber had some interesting pictures, didn't like the dead bugs, and Seigenthaler, those were some strangely exaggerated portraits. Interesting heads in the forms of letters too!

I was impressed at how they anticipated the angles at which the fly-over photos would be taken, and compensated by widening the formations to the rear to achieve the appearance of appropriate proportions (say that three times fast!).

Don't think I want to say that three times fast...but I now have to go back and check those out again since you mentioned that!

Byron, interesting. Thanks for the post. Sometimes I wonder what kind of medication some of the artist are on, or what they should be on.
