copying layer styles in version 6

I'm trying to copy a layer style from one layer to the nest without having to repeat adjusting all the settings in the dialog box. In previous versions I was able to alt click on the layer style icon and drag it to the layer you want to copy it to and you were all set ... now when I do the same procedure all I get is a clipping group icon.. any ideas?

Yeah, I noticed that too.

The other way to do (which you could also do in PSE4) is to right click on the layer in the layers palette, but not on the fx, this brings up the popup menu. Near the bottom is 'Copy Layer Style'. Go to the layer you want to apply the style to and right click again and select 'Paste Layer Style'. You can select multiple layers and apply the style to all in one go.

I liked the alt drag option because this way is a bit slow for just one layer.

Thanks so much ... it's kind of sad that they took away a handy tool like the alt click thing though..
