I have PSE6.

I created a thumbnail png for the palette.

I installed as per instructions for PSE5.

With the Documents Windows Explorer window open, navigate to the following folder:

Computer / Local Disk (C:) / ProgramData / Adobe / Photoshop Elements / 5.0 / Photo Creations / Special Effects / Photo Effects

Since there was no folder "Special Effects", I just placed the action in
Photo Creations/Photo Effects. I do see the thumbnail and can "Apply"
the effect. The action begins to run and pops up the window for shaping
the page curl. I select Continue. It displays the second window with the
STOP action button and instructions. When I hit the Stop key, it blows up
PSE.

Do I need to wait for PSE 6 version of this action or has anyone made this
work?

Thanks....

Hi ...

Actions don't install in the same way on PSE6 as they did in PSE5 and the actions that Panos does are pretty complex so they may not work.

I am not sure if anyone has tested them in PSE6 yet ...

I'm not sure if Panos has changed that action but the one I have does work in PSE6 (in XP I just put the action file, no thumbnail in Photo Effects). It's a very manual action and you need to read the accompanying PDF to get the rest of the steps to make the curl.

Not sure what you got at Step 2 but it should have been a Continue or Stop and you need to hit Continue (although Stop shouldn't blow PSE6 up - it just cancels the action. From then you use the steps in the pdf to complete the action.
