View Full Version : A suggestion for posts?

I wonder if it would be possible for people who are posting a tutorial, if that person could state if they used Photoshop or PSE v*. I have come across several tutorials that I start on, and then realize it was written for Photoshop or another version of PSE that I don't have.

Not a "have-to" thing, but thought it would be helpful to others. Just a suggestion.

Suzanne, that's a good suggestion, and it follows on to another plea made a couple weeks ago for askers and answerers to disclose their version and system in some way to help readers determine whether the answer applies to their situation. I opted to add a few characters to my signature as you see below.

Hi Suzanne ...

I do agree .... whenever I post anything that is for Photoshop I always make sure that I say so.

Otherwise people find it very confusing :)

Kev, Wendy and Chuck, I know you and a few others do post what version and what program they use. Thanks to all that do. It is most helpful.

After reading your replies, I thought maybe I should take my own medicine. I added my info also. :o

How do you add your info, or do you enter it each time you post as part of your message?

Suzanne, that is a good idea. I too have my info in my signature. I really should take off PSE3 since I haven't used it since getting v5.

Frank, go to the top left corner of the page to User CP, click that and on the left side click Edit Signature. You can make your signature there and add a link to your gallery.

Hi ...

I suspect that one snag is that quite a lot of us have more than one version of Elements (and Photoshop) ... so for me to put in my signature the programs I have wouldn't really work.

When I do a tutorial .. I actually do it in one version (usually PSE3) but then I get it checked in other versions too (thank you to my testers :) )
