Tagging a new Judge for IOW

Hello everyone. With all the confusion on the Tag IOW and what each is suppose to do I have started this thread for reference. I had wanted to post a sticky to it so it stayed on top in Pixel Hangout but can't figure out how. So I would recommend that if you are a Judge that you find this thread and paste a link to it in your PM to the next Judge you tag.

1. Post your picks for the previous week on Monday's
Title example: Tag IOW 10/22
2. Tag a new Judge via PM.
3. Give them the last image and it's number that was posted when you
finalized your picks.
4. Give them until the Tuesday to reply so that you can pick a different
judge if they don't accept or don't reply. If they don't reply, also PM
them back that you have tagged someone else so they know.
5. It is up to you how you make your picks. You can pick just one image
for IOW or as many as you want. You can do categories or whatever.
You are the judge and it is your week to do what you want.
6. If you want, you can make an award but it is not required.
7. Post your picks in a new thread in the Pixel Hangout category.

It may also be helpful if sometime at the end of the week you remind the person you tagged.

Most importantly, make sure the person you tagged responds, do not take it for granted that they will accept.

Even more importantly, HAVE FUN.

Kim, thanks for posting info about IOW. I am a little confused about how you pick these images. Do you examine just those posted under "Gallery" and under "More Images"? Are they changed weekly, they don't seem to be. How do you not duplicate previous selections? I did discover they are numbered under Properties. Thanks

Hi Bill. I don't know how Tami does her picks since she has more access to things but this is how we do the tag: If you are Tagged to be a judge, you check the main gallery often for new post to people's galleries. Everyone images are given a number in order as they post. For example, here is the last image I viewed before making my picks yesterday

The 26592 is the image number. I told the person I tagged this was the last image in the gallery when I made my picks. That person will now watch the images being posted after that one. If someone puts more than one new image in their gallery you will be able to tell by those numbers. Any number after 26592 will be a new image for the week. So, it is up to the judge that week if they want to just pick from the main images or to also pick other images in ones gallery that are also new. The answer to your question here is no, you don't have to pick just from ones main image.

Now, some people don't change their main image all the time. If they don't, it won't show in the main gallery during the judging period. Since there are way to many people here and galleries we don't searching by users to see if they posted something new. So if they have something new and don't make it their main image they are not judged. Now if you are the judge and you want and have the time to go through each and every persons gallery and see if they posted something new, that is up to you as the judge.

I hope this helps you to understand it better. I am not the best at explaining things.

I didn't get around to updating my last week and posting but Julie took the time to do it. Here is her list of Judges thus far. Please post your name if you are a future judge after you have made your picks. Not before because you don't want to take the surprise out of who is the judge. Post the date and your name.

Do you think you could put this in the forum tutorial section? It is not a tutorial but steps to do something. Everyone could find it there easily. Just a thought.

Hi Christell, I think this would get totally lost in the tutorial section. Everyone knows that the Tag IOW gets posted in the Pixel Hangout section so that is why it is here. It won't get too lost here since I am going to update it each week after a new judge post so we have an update as to who has judged and so the new judge can find it easier.
