editor not opening

almost every time i try to open editor its pse is freezing? i have to restart my comp and it will work any idea whats wrong. i dont know alot about the program so bare with me plz!!!!

ive had it for 6 months or so and its been messing up for about a month. btw i have xp and my system req are well above what it asks for
