Hello everyone!

I'm trying to follow a tut that's actually for photoshop cs. It says I need to adjust the fill value of my text layer. In PS, it's in the layers palette under the opacity slider. I can't find a way to do this in elements - I looked through the menus and everything (and even did a google search!) but I'm stuck. Is this possible at all in Elements 5?

I'm trying to make transparent text, if that helps any.

Thanks!

Brandi,
if you just wish to make transparent text have a look at this.

Thanks, Kev! That works very well for what I was trying to do and is MUCH easier than this three page tut () that I was trying to follow!! :)

Thanks for replying so quickly, too.

Another way is to apply your bevel, drop shadow or whatever, then go down to "Visibility" in the layer styles and apply "Hide" or "Ghosted".

Hi ..

One of the things that is really useful about Photoshop is that you can reduce the opacity like you can in Elements but you can also reduce the Fill too.

That means that you can apply a layer style to something and when you reduce the fill ... the item will fade away BUT the layer style doesn't fade away at all :)
