If I could have ANYTHING I wanted?? Wow. The very first thing I'd like is a NEXT button ... when I'm done with a photo edit and all is saved, I'd love to be able to hit NEXT instead of opening the folder from which I'm working in. What a time saver! And if that cannot be accomplished, at least when I open the folder I'm working from, the jpeg I've just completed would be where the cursor falls in the line-up instead of having to scroll down to where I left off. When you're shooting an event, and you have 300, 400, 500, pics ... even if you break it down into subfolders, it's time-consuming to find the last one you've completed.

Does anyone know what happened to the choice of MORE in the layers palette? I used to have that in PSE 3, but 4 doesn't have it, so I find I have to go to the Layer window, then down to flatten image. I miss that! ~Sharon

I'd love to have a fully (or even partially) customizable tool bar, like Microsoft Word.

I have just installed PSE 6 and to my surprise  , it did not recognized that I had PSE 4 installed, therefore it did not import my existing catalogue with its categories and tags. It did recognize Adobe Album Starter, but then I have not used this for a few years.

I had to go and get the photos from my hard disk and when I did, it recognized that the photos were tagged, but did not know the categories I had created in PSE 4. Come on ADOBE, shame on you, what were you folks thinking in terms of ongoing compatibility. If I put a new version of Excel on my computer, it can recognized spreadsheets built in the previous version. Whoever designed this software without this type of ongoing compatibility should be made to write on the blackboard a couple of hundred times I will make it recognize previous catalogs with categories and tags.

I now have to recreate the categories I had in PSE 4 and move all the old tags, now in PSE 6, into these newly created categories.

PSE6 would have imported your PSE4 catalog, it sounds as though it just encountered your Album one first. All you needed to do was attempt to open the PSE4 catalog, and a conversion routine would have been run.

The details are here (http://www.adobe.com/go/kb402592).

Nick, thanks for the directions. This worked perfectly. :D Still don't understand why it didn't fine PSE 4, but maybe it is as you say, it found the Album Starter first, although there is no Album.

Cheers,
