Happy new year to all

Just installed my PSE3
When I bring up the how to palette it say's how to palette
not available can't seem to find anywhere to load it up.
Any help would be appreciated.

Max

There are two ways to open the How To palette, both of these work for me though:

Either click the triangle in the Palette Bin (very bottom right hand corner of the screen) OR select Window from the main toolbar and then How To.

Have you tried both of these, especially the second one :?:

Mike

Tried both, triangle at bottom opens and close
the pallet bin.
I have tried the windows menu and the how to pallet is checked,
and the pallet is open in the bin whre it says to click through
the topics. But all that's there is the note not available.

mexmex, try the 'reset palette locations' button...think it's under 'window'...hmmm, could be 'view'...don't know, rarely use it. lol

Should work tho.

Thaks Jodi already tried that. ( it is under windows)
It almost seems that the how to files didn't download
properly. Guess I need to find an Adobe whiz

hi, not sure if Wendy is buzy making my rice pudding so I'll go ahead for her;

hold down alt+shift+ctrl a half a split second after launching the 'editor' part of the program. A window will pop up askin if ya want to delete prefs..or I think they call it 'settings' now..anyways,click yes. That 'should' cure it.

if you don't get the pop up window...try again...it's a quick three finger duo. Tho the preference file can be deleted manually from the files;
C:program files>documents and settings>application data>photoshop elements>3.0>editor>photoshop preferences elements 3.0>>> Delete this file.

Lets hope the delete prefs works ... Max write that one down. Whenever Elements does anything strange deleting the prefs file is the first thing to try.

Jodi ... Hope are going to make rice pudding this week after I found the recipe for you :)
