Thanks Kimi - I took the easy route and used Flaming Pear's flood filter. I like the color reflection you used in the b&w lighthouse!

There are some really terrific images so far.

I wondered if it was the flood filter. I have it and never think to use it.

It was such a wonderful image, I didn't have the heart to Photoshop it too much. I thought it screamed for a camera raw adjustment. That is how I got the reflection back. ;)

Kimi --
Thanks for your comment -- the moon is a brush (came in a set with various phases of the moon, but I always seem to use the full moon).

Really great composition Bob!

Thank you Kimi for standing up to the plate in my absence. It is our 40th wedding anniversary and Doreen and I went into hiding. Because I really do want to see 41 I kept all my computer activity to the very very bare bones.

I must say that here is a stunning array of images and Peggy will be pleased.

Does anyone know if this is the same lighthouse, from a different angle, featured in Challenge #21?

Grant --
Is this the same lighthouse we saw in Challenge #21? Or are Canadian lighthouses of a certain vintage all built off a common template (I know this is true for US lighthouses on the West Coast). Here's the earlier one:

Yes I do!

It is indeed the same lighthouse taken years apart and by two different people. It is the most photographed lighthouse in Canada. Doreen photographed #21 and I took this one. Then we lived 1200 miles away from it now we live about one hours drive. Can anyone identify the lighthouse?

The lighthouse returned for a new round of images -- got some good
ones, too.

ALEX B: I like your rock extensions and sky substitutions. The waves
and gull are nice shore line additions -- and was it rising sea levels
or violent earthquakes that put El Capitan on the Pacific shore?
ANNE T: The rising tide and night scene beam are cool -- I like the
little touches like the partly lit windows. Nice edge effect in #3.
BEN M: Wonderful ink outline plus color effect -- reminds me of the
illustrations in the Narnia series.
BILL Z: The fog is a great addition to your night scene.
CHUCK F: Great crop for the moon base lighthouse.
EARL: Nice sketch effect -- and I love the starfish frame!
ELLEN H: Re-using Neptune was a great idea -- nice work on the ripples.
GARY K: Another moon landing! Nice work on the textures and star field.
KIMI B: I like the idea of keeping the reflection in color while
reducing the rest of the image to black and white.
KIM B: King Kong strikes again -- neat idea.
LISA B: LOL! A unique approach -- gulls will steal anything, but...
MALCOLM D: A stark new setting for the lighthouse -- effective!
MARK R: UFOs and ATVs -- what acronym next?
RITA G: A fitting scene -- love the waves and lightning.
RALPH H: Those climbers fit right in.
RED S: Even the rocks have eyes -- nice job overlaying the text and
faces.
SHARI M: The sunken ship complements the lighthouse -- taken on the
Gulf?

Hi Bob, thanks for the compliment! This picture was taken on the South East Coast of Georgia in the Sapelo River, also know as Sapelo River Red! You should see it at sunset!
Here are a couple of images taken at sunset, straight out of the camera, just resized for the web. Thanks again!
