I've got Photoshop Elements 6, and I'm having a harder time making flipbooks than in V. 5. How do you change the order of photos in the Organizer? I've tried renaming, but it still comes out seemingly random.

Hi,

This is the Premiere Elements Forum. I know that Premiere Elements 4 has an Organizer now and when integrated with Photoshop Elements 6 can share a common database.

However, it sounds like you are dealing with a Photoshop Elements 6 (standalone Organizer question) probably best addressed in the General Forum here.

I have not worked with Photoshop Elements 6, but here is my contribution.

Apparently in going from the 5 to 6 version, Tags remain, but "Collections" has been replaced by "Smart Albums". In prior versions, your ordering of photos could be done in Collections. So, check out Smart Albums for ordering the photos in the Organizer.

Check out the PDF Help under Smart Albums in the Organizer and see if that gets you going in the right direction. I will look around for any further details, if necessary.

Maybe describe what your project is. Are you interested in Stack and Version Sets too?

I just downloaded Photoshop Elements 6 last night and today attended the Adobe eseminar on the products.

The answer is in the Albums. Now Collections = Albums.
So, just create new albums and drag the tag into the slides that you want in a given album. (See Albums icon at top and + at top to create new album. Tag as before. You will know you are successful because you will now see in the album the good old numbers in the top left of the thumbnail.)

Also in the Slide Show Editor, there is a Quick Reorder feature that is useful (toward the bottom left).
