Hello everyone,
I've been trying to calibrate my monitor (Samsung SyncMaster 151V) with the Adobe Gamma utility and each time I run it the screen looks much worse to me afterwards - very washed out. Am I misunderstanding what I'm supposed to be doing here or has anyone else had this problem? Could it be that I have an LCD monitor? Right now my photos do not print like my screen at all.

Any help or commiseration would be greatly appreciated.

Anna

Hi Anna -

After going to the trouble of reinstalling PSE3 after uninstalling PSE2 just so I could get Gamma back, I read a thread on the Adobe PSE forum that Gamma does not work with LCD monitors. They did mention another product, Liquid Color, that was made for this http://personalcomputing.portrait.com/us/products/lc_lcd_whitepaper.html Before I shell out the money for this app I was going to post on this forum to see if anyone here could make a recommendation, so hopefully someone more knowledgeable will respond.
