If I go to Best Buy and purchase PSE 6 is there a way for me to get the same price as I would if I buy it online from Adobe? I feel I should get the same deal.

Mary,
I don't know - but have you compared to the price at Amazon, after rebate?

I don't know but I do recall an issue that came up with an earlier version. You had to be very careful to check the box to see what discounts/rebates were available. People were buying a cheap version and expecting to get an upgrade discount on top of that but it didn't work that way - in that case only packages with an upgrade coupon were eligible and naturally those were a bit more expensive. Don't know how it works with PSE6 but in that case the lowest price wasn't always the best deal.

What would the price be.........is that $79 after the $20 rebate or is the price $79 and we get $20 off that for a total of $59..........Wow, math this late at night. I just amaze myself:p
Crypes........it's only 8:35pm. Maybe I need another drink, er maybe I need the first drink first. Anyway, as you can tell I'm confused.

As I read the Amazon offer, it is $89.99 up front, and you get a $20 MIR, for a net cost of $69.99.
If you can wait a week to receive it, you can get free shipping, to boot! (And Amazon never charges me sales tax, which is a good thing... ;) )

Thanks everyone! That at least gives a hint that there will be a coupon in the retail box for the mail in upgrade discount. I will go over to Best Buy and see if the box has a "Rebate Form Inside" on the box.
The hook for me has been the new selection tool and the ghost cloning feature. I also have Vista and am very happy with V5 performance but curious to see if it would make a difference.
Thanks again everyone!

Just got back from Best Buy - PSE 6 is $99.00 no rebate in the box or sticker on the outside of the box. I feel very strongly that Adobe should do a much better job offering users a price break on upgrades!

Mary, If you can wait 4 weeks - sometimes (the last 3 years anyway) you can get it for $50 at either Best Buy, Staples, or CompUSA at the day after Thanksgiving sales. Last year I ordered online for $50 at Best Buy the day of Thanksgiving (I was traveling).

My PSE6 came with the rebate form in the box. You can also download the form from Adobe. I think there is a link for that on the Amazon website. You do not have to buy from Amazon but you do have to buy by Oct. 31. I think you have until Dec to submit the rebate but you cannot exceed the purchase date. I hope this is clear. If not let me know and I'll try again

There was no rebate form in my box and my main reason for buying the box version from Best Buy rather than downloading from Adobe was to get the printed manual. Guess what? No Manual in the box either. I will search the adobe site for the upgrade coupon. Has anyone found it? If so could you provide the link please.:) :)

Looks like this should do it:

At least I'll be filling it out and trying it myself!
