One of the things I liked about the first classes was the ability to download the videos so you can still watch them once your time is up so to speak, a feature which I believe people who joined the class in recent days haven't been able to access.
So will we be able to download the new lessons? From reading the overview, I get the feeling that we'll only be able to download the pdf files and the pictures but not the videos :( I'm still rewatching the videos for the umpteenth time even though I finished the first course 6 weeks ago!)

Hi Bayla,
There aren't any Download links for the videos so you can't do it automatically, but you can use the temporary internet files method... let me know if you want help with this.

Yes after watching the movie -- when it completed I used the Save as Quicktime Movie option and it saved the file -- but windows didn't recognize it at first.
When I renamed the file adding the .mov as the extension then it magically became a quick time movie without any glitches.

With Quicktime Pro, you only need to wait until the movie has downloaded fully - not for it to play all the way through as well (which you do with the temp. internet files method).

How does the temp internet files work for saving the online tutorials?

Jack,
Here's how to do it:
1. Clear your temporary internet files, this will make the search quicker that's all. In Internet Explorer go to Tools > Internet Options and click the "Delete Files" button.
2. Then go to the video that you want to download, click on the link to watch it and let the video play all the way through to the end.
3. When the video has finished playing, go to Tools > Internet Options again and this time click on the "Settings" button.
4. In the next window, click the "View Files" button. This will display your temporary internet files. The video will be the largest file there by far. It will have the Windows Media Player or Quick Time icon next to it, depending on which format you selected
5. Right click on this file and select Copy, then go to a permanent Folder location in Windows and paste it there.
Let us know how you get on...

I downloaded the tutorial with 'Pro but when I played it back after loading it at home after a second or two the screen fades to deep green and freezes. I can't access the tutorials to try again as the passwords are all at work, and I'm not!

Hi Mike,
I used your method of downloading the video for past few months. I have always tested the videos to make sure it works okay. When I clicked on the video clip on my computer I get a pop up message saying Windows - No Disk and it not only one pop up but many. I never had problems before on the other videos. What do you think is causing the 100 pop ups to show up

Hi Mike,I downloaded the video using your instructions on the temp files method. One question...When I download a second or third video using this method I then tried to put them into one folder titled say PSE videos. I keep getting a pop up saying that that file already exists as all the videos are titled the same in the tutorial. How do I get around that? I would rather have only one folder for each tutorial session.

Edmund ...
Mike is away at the moment and won't be back until Saturday ... however is it not possible to simply edit the name. I can do this on the Mac just by typing the new name in but don't know if you can do that on your PC.

You can rename the existing file giving it a more meaningful name such as day01. Then when you move the next file it'll need to be renamed but in this fashion you will have a folder with files that are ordered in a fashion that you can use.

Edmund - I wrote about this on another thread. When I download the files (I'm using Windows Media Player) they all get saved as training[1].wmv and I get the message 'this file already exists etc'. I solved this by renaming the first video training[1.1].wmv and then renaming each videao after I've saved it with the appropriate number. When I've completed the course I'll rename the first one back to 1!

Wendy & Will, Thanx a lot . After I posted the question I figered out that I could re-name the file in order to save it. Some times i try and do things a little too fast. So back to the basics, slow down & do it right the first time.
