I have two images of the same scene - one is exposed for the sky ( the land is underexpozed )and the second is exposed for the land. ( Sky is over exposed)

I would like to combine these two images into one.
Could someone please direct me to the process?

There is more than one way to achieve this. Two come to mind, one is to select the sky from one and copy it and paste it to the other or place one on top of the other and use the eraser tool to erase away the areas of the bottom photo that you want to show through. There are others and I am sure better ways and someone will be alone soon to give their suggestions as well.

In addition to what Kim said, I would add a mask btween the 2 layers. Click on bottom layer, then select any adjustment layer from the new layer drop down and click ok without making changes. Click inside the white box on the adjustment layer and switch to the brush tool. Paint with black anything want to hide on the layer below. As get to the horizon line try adjusting brush opacity to smooth the transition. With the eraser tool if you erase too much you can't get it back. But this way if you cover up too much just switch to white and paint it back in!

Both these methods will work but if you happen to have PSE6 you can use Photomerge to do it too. Photomerge Panorama will overlay the images and gives you a layer mask to blend them. Photomerge Group Shots will attempt to blend them based on areas you select for blending although you don't have a lot of control (at least I haven't experimented enough to figure out how to control it better)
