View Full Version : organizer date problem, help

Hello all, I am still having a problem with the organizer. My wife took more pictures of the kids at day care today 10-15-2007. I downloaded the photos thru the photo downloader into the organizer but could not find them. The reason is the date put on them was 4-4-2007 and they are way down with photos taken in April. I went to window > properties and checked each file and they all have the correct date in the metadata. Is there some way to "set" the correct date in PSE? The camera and the computer are both correct. Ideas?

Hi Walt
Simply go to where the thumbnails are in the organizer, and highlight all the ones taken today, and right click on the date of one of the thumbnails. When the window opens, scroll down to “Adjust date and time of selected items”. Or more simply, press ctrl J. The first line is “Change to a specific date and time”. It should have a green dot in the circle, and if so, click okay. When the next window opens you can simply change to the date you want, and all the pictures highlighted will move automatically. I would think the camera date is incorrect, but if not, I have no idea why it would do this.

Thanks, I will adjust those but I would like to know whats going on. I posted before about finding some files with the date created and the date modified reversed but no one replied with any ideas. Now it missed by what 6 months. Thanks again, Walt

Just to rule out the easy answers... have you verified that both your PC and your camera have the correct date/time set?

Probably no help at all, but at least we can dismiss those as possibilities.

Hi Byron, yes the camera (kodak P712) is set correct and the computer is set correct and the downloader /organizer has worked before. The other problem I had posted about is I noticed some photos properties window shows the date created and the date modified reversed but they are in the organizer timeline correct. Strange stuff, Walt
